BEWARE Players dropping gifts.

Had an odd encounter with a player at their camp near the Wayward... was looking for plans and this camp had a couple hundred..which usually means good prices...
so i look and every thing is priced like in the thousands or high hundreds ammo was all over the place in price.. i dont pay more then a cap for my ammo someone else will be selling it.

so i dont think i bought anything...no i bought 5 dog foods. they were 5 caps each... bargain if you ask me. its all i eat. so i go to leave this vendor building and the owner of the camp is standing in the door way pointing a big gun at me then at my feet. then using a gift emot eand shooting this vault tec bag that appeared... i look inside and it says orbital strike **
im like "cool ill use this next line in the sand if theres a survival tent in the street get me at least one spawn wave...

so off i jog over towards the wayward... stop to look at this orbital strike thing and wtf this isnt a beacon grenade throwable its some kind of prime mini gun... ive never seen anything like this before... so i go inside the way ward to see about this thing and what the fallout wiki has to say...
it said nothing this dosent exist in the game as far as i could determine...
so i google it...and mother flocking sum beech that dirty rotton dirt bag mother
its a hybrid broadsider mini gun cheat piece of bhramanshit
i then went upstairs and dumped it in a bedroom in a paper bag and logged.

so this jerkwad is camped by the wayward... gifting cheat stuff to players who visit...o swear to everloving everything...that pisses me off. found a website in the google search...sells these pos garbage for 25 bucks usd... let that sink in.

yes i reported it. thats all i can do besides block the player which i also did.

but the fact that just one person is gifting people these things... bad mojo and out of line.

so beware folks, if someone is dropping you a gift, be careful take a good long look before you grab it. if its some kind of legendary thing you think is too good to be true. your instinct would be right, my brain said "orbital strikes have *'s?" which is why i pulled the damn thing out and found it not to be a grenade after all as i equipped it.

i grabbed it and saluted the player and jogged off i was headed for the wayward to visit smiley as it was. just down the road... dont take candy from strangers kids. or legendary illegal cheat weapons.

and report those players who do try to offer you this garbage.

would be funny if they ban you for it... that said ive been seeing a log of explosive gatline plasmas lately, i guess thats what they call legcay weapons not sure they are cheating.. and its annoying as ♥♥♥ blows eardrum as it messess up sound and kills Earl in like few secs if i see anyone having that i just leave server not worth nuking and watching everything u did gets stolen.. they should just make legacy weapons only usable in private world.

I take candy from strangers all the time, its free stuff, i like free stuff.
It doesn't worry me since I can brutalize anyone who gets 'fresh' afterwards.

Didn't Bethesda say it was all fixed or something, isn't that Bethesda's problem? Which players are we supposed to report? Who dropped the bag of free stuff? Is there a name tag or something? In all my play time I have NOT seen a single "illegal cheat" weapon, i wish I did, I'd love to use one so I could one shot that SBQ that no one ever spawns anymore. hehe

And as a last note, why no screenshots of this "illegal cheat" weapon?

Going off the killing Earl in a few seconds, they need to revamp how the game considers you to actually get rewards off a boss. I was fighting Earl with a few friends (5 people, including me) by ourselves. This one level like... 300 guy storms in and kills Earl in about... 5 seconds. (We only took out 1/2 of his first health bar) Nobody got rewards even though we spent a good 2-3 minutes all shooting him. It's stupid that these people with broken guns can kill things in seconds and everyone gets gimped because of it.

I always look at whatever someone drops.

If something looks fishy, I don't take anything.

People dropping cheap stuff is normal. 100+ may drop some bad Legendaries, probably because they are at the daily script cap. No one drops anything "good".

He used a glitched/cheated/broken or whatever you want to call it gun that killed him in seconds, that's why it took him so little time.

Even with legacys it seems much harder to kill than the sbq. I've never not been able to loot him even if I'm focused killing the spawns.

it was next to the wayward. cant nuke it and they know that.
the logs will show what happened and the cheat team will do what they do.
its these websites that blatently violate copyright and double down on the illegal out of game / in game delivery of these and pretty much any armor type you would want. want a full bloodied any type of armor, they will sell it to you. and since they are making a profit off of the game for free its nothing we can do except report when we run across it.
if ti was one or two sites meh but theres even a craigslist type site where random people offer up various things to others... none of this is legal. but hosted in countries that get kick backs for not having laws that cover internet crimes like this.

what is a fair play user to do? play the game and go on and let others know about taking gifts that are too good to be true.
