explosive bait

On the rose quest, made the bait n placed it; I left the game w/o retrieving it...I come back n it's gone...soooooo that quest is screwed forever?

you left that server and didnt come back to the same server. chances are each time you leave and come back youll be on a new server with new people.
sometimes youll come back to the same server if you leave and come back right away. with in seconds im saying.

and like you know from the above, you can make another.

somehow you cant repickup the bait anyway after you used it once. when you do the quest you normaly find enove stuff for making around 3 at once.
and define "placed it" ? you just have to thow it in the direction of canivores, even when they already seen you the bait will go of when landing near them and the quest will go on.

Every time I do this quest I make like three of them. The first one almost never works. The last time I watched ghouls kick it around without it going off.

yeah ghouls dont work, must be canines, seen them work on dogs, mutidogs, wolfs, bears

No, Just need to go to any tinker bench with stag meat and the other bits to make them.

I always toss one at the dogs on the road between Wayward and Flatwoods. They ALWAYS spawn there and there's always 3 of them in a group 'feeding' so an easy target for the bait.

Blood eagle camps almost always have a gutted radstag or two to get the meat easy from.
