VATS Gunslinger - Which pistol?
Im fresh lvl 50 as Gunslinger. Currently I have .44 and Western Revolver but what should be my "go-to" weapon? Which pistol/revolver has the best stats for that build?

I would suggest a lv50 Bloodied SAR (Single Action Revolver) w/Prime Receiver optionally.
Go with max rank Gunslinger perks, Glow Sight Perk to add 60% damage to any enemy that glows, Bloody Mess to add 15% more damage overall. Nerd Rage Perk to add damage at low health (19.9%). 5 Unyealding Armor pieces (even 1 star any type will due as a start you just need the unyealding part). Then you'll want Adrenal Reaction Mutation and Starched Genes Perk as a minimum to further increase damage as health gets lower. Then get Class Freak Perk to reduce negative mutation effects by 75%. Now simply irradiate yourself till Nerd Rage activates and your good.
That pistol will now do a good 500+ damage depending on if you are sneaking or against scorched with the prime receiver.

Now, Add Gunsmith to reduce degradation, and Speed Demon (optionally) to increase reload speed. With this setup I can easily kill lv.80 scorchbeasts with 6 rounds or less usually if every bullet hits and depending on range of course.

Ultracite Laser Pistol or gauss pistol also pistol are not a very good gun

I'd vote for the one you enjoy the most as it won't really make a huge difference (gaus may I guess).

Yeah I've heard that gunslinger isn't the best build currently, but it's my 3rd character so.. Im just bored by "end game" so im trying new builds

I'm slowly getting there myself.

I think the legendary effects are more important. The differences between the revolvers are kinda small.

I think a Quad, Faster Fire, 25% VATS reduction would be nice for trash.

Maybe Anti-Armor and VATS crit for serious threats.

Between revolvers yeah, but there are also 10mm , plasma , laser and prolly smth more I can't think of right now

I think the biggest upside of pistols would be that you can modify them to fit whatever you have in mind.

I usually have a scoped revolver specced for damage, range and accuracy to act as a sniper.
I tend to have a large-clipped semi-fire pistol I can use to spam anything that managed to get dangerously close.
Both muzzled if possible since I'm a sneak build.

Basically: You can build pistols around your play style pretty reliably. A true sniper rifle will always be better at sniping than a pistol but it'll take more perks if your arsenal is varied. With Gunslinger you can build a lot of lightweight guns for varied situations.

The Western Revolver is better than the Single Action in literally every way.

The only redeeming value of the Single Action is if it has a Quad mod. Then you could give it to some poor sap and watch as they load 24 bullets, one at a time, into this terrible mistake of gunsmithing.
