Warning to all "Review bombers" Good and bad.

Since Borderlands 3, The steam reviews have some new rules.

and obvious Review bombers (the ones here admitting thats what their going to do... idiots...)
Can get their entire account banned.

Next the rules:
1: Review bombing, False reviews and Low content Reviews Will either be removed, Not counted Or Account Termination
2: Reviewing an account Before your 2 hour limit, will not count until you are over 2.5 Hours of game time.
3: Refunding the game Will hide your review from the over-all score. (if its under 2.5 hours)
4: Repeat offences of this will skip warnings and Ban your account instead.


Please, if you don't want your account auto-banned, every game on your steam account is at risk
this is for BOTH sides. good review or not, Review bombing in either direction is not a good idea.
especially if you are admiting it in the forums. the steam moderators LOOK AT YOUR POSTS you fools.

I for one, will be looking at both Steam, Youtube and my own playtime to See if this update is good. The game has its issues, the game has a lot of server sided issues including cloud servers.

But I urge everyone to give it a chance, via youtube gameplay or streams if you cannot play it yourself.



TL;DR: Don't be stupid, and wait for gameplay to release.

Steam just renew it's review rule after that "incident" but i don't know until what content and punishment they will give to review bomber this time. Either way, be extra careful before dropping the bomb this time.

That article refers to review bombing a game over reasons separate to the game itself

in that circumstance, people review bombed BL 2 because BL 3 would be an EPIC exclusive

We are talking about this game getting 'review bombed' for being a trash game, which is a reason relevant to the game

By definition of "review bombing", the gigantic swing of reviews from a 9 year old game, that was rated hugely positive is a clear cut example.

I doubt thrash like 76 would be entitled to a so called "review bombing" when it's already been rated as hugely unpopular with 99% of gaming news channels.

There's a reason it came to Steam..It's the same reason their other Bethesda launcher exclusive also recently came to Steam - It didn't sell well there either.

1. Like i said before, sooner or later Bethesda will bring their game to steam since it count as a marketing plan since you kept every $ if you sell it on your store, then bring it to retail later on for more $. Other publisher like SquareEnix also does the same tactic nowadays

2. The game already become top seller at this point, and deluxe edition come at the top list before the original one. I don't know if free giveaway also count, but 2 option exist on the same page means that there are plenty of people who bought the game as well.

That doesn't mean steam dev can't add an exception rule for "If Give Review" + "If user refund" = add something nasty.

No matter how bad the game is, if you take an advantage of a platform service just to satisfy your ego is still count as abusing, and abusing can lead to a crime act.
