id guess the main issues are more the map design than the engine as TES managed to have horses and both the 3/vegas era and fallout 4 modders got vehicles to kind of work.
Better solution for fast travel? Um....fast travel.
Not much bigger then skyrims.
Also, fast travel costs caps, unless they introduce a fuel mechanic, the vehicle would be free to use.
Mostly it’s about fun, if I want to zoom up an mountain trail or across the game on a motorbike or whatever, I do it.
If players don’t like vehicles, they just don’t use the vehicle, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us who want vehicles should be denied the experience because someone else disapproves of it.
