Fair enough. There's truth both sides though, not gonna lie :P
Considering the confusion around DLCs and content updates in this game, yah I'll happily argue.
People need to know the difference. I'll die on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hill lol.
Nah, an update changes the status of a game. Hence why it's called an update. DLC is literally Downloadable Content. It's content intended to be an addendum to the game, not necessarily a part of the base experience.
Wastelanders is definitely a game update. It's not a DLC. Nothing separate was downloaded or purchased. It was just a free update to the existing package.
lol dlc also changes status of a game, you can do more in it . let it go bro , you can call it in both
You have a loose definition of "status", whatever that means. An update to the game is within the game package and usually free. A DLC is separate from the game and usually paid. That's that.
thats what i said the whole time dude. its just a payed update lol
But neither of those are truly essential, you can get by without them.
The Collectron is obtained via the ingame AtomShop, the NCR Ranger Helmet is unclocked with 1 month of Fallout 1st sub.
You get to keep the helmet afterwards, so continuing the sub is not necessary after the first month, if all that was desired was the helmet.
Nah. In this game especially, there is a clear difference. The updates to the game are free updates: Wild Appalachia, Nuclear Winter, Wastelanders. The DLCs are the cosmetic packs you find on the store page.
See now you're even conflating subscriptions and premium currency with DLC. What the heck? Subs are not DLC, neither are atoms. God.
