I hope you don't use mods, because every Friday after the next update, the flow of complaints about crashes and strange bugs on the forum increases.
PS Last week someone with a similar description complained about Buffalo.
Restarted game, update came and boom, orbital Interface lag.

{It happens to me as well. Played yesterday for hours using OED}
What is OED?
You're referring to me and I don't play with mods. It has been an issue since New frontier dropped for multiple users. Been playing the game since 2021. Never had an issue with the buffalo before New Frontiers.
This IS a suddenly arising problem.
I did all that Sir. File integrity all good. I even crafted a new OEI and destroyed the other , quit the game and placed it down fresh. It has something to do with the update I believe.
MY question to you is does this happen to you, or just a few. What's your setup. How many building pieces do you have on Styx?, how many mounts? I just started a new game a while ago, playing Solo on Hard. Was fine until the update. It's not a problem as long as you use the device (that's where the "D" came from) at the end of your game. It resets when you log back on. So it can not be my settings. It can not be my system. Do you agree ?
ALSO, I switched from DX 11 back to 10 and the same thing happened. Trust me, before I post, I try to fix it.
Significant non-recoverable drop in FPS after calling the lander via OEI
1) I load my map Olympus (Exclusive fullscreen, DX11, Windows 7, Icarus was last reinstalled probably in mid-2023 and has been working fine since then, mods have never been installed etc) everything has always worked fine, except for the bugs that everyone had
Olympus 4237 buildings, 1128 items, 0 animals.

2) I load the Olympus map, look around, check that the FPS is the same as always (and on one map for 2 years I know exactly where and how much FPS should be) -> everything is fine, when turning off ‘light shadows’ it is stable at about 60 FPS
When I press ‘call landing module’ in OEI, the FPS immediately drops to 40 and it is the GPU that goes into ‘overload’. The FPS drops and does not rise regardless of whether I am looking at the landing module or have my back turned to it.
I return the module to orbit -> the FPS is still lowered.
I exit to the menu (thus saving), and immediately load -> FPS is normal.
I call the landing module again and again at the moment of pressing call the FPS drops to 40, which in my PC Config is equivalent to a large overload, which clearly should not be.
The developers should check everything related to OEI, it looks like some kind of ‘code loop’, which was already about a year ago when displaying the ‘extended menu’ STATS (I had problems like everyone else back then).
3) -> checked Buffalo (on Olympus)
Ran up to Buffalo and his little foal, spun around them, looked at them from different sides and angles, didn't notice any FPS drops (stably locked 60 FPS) High setting FullHD.
I bet Icarus marketing team like: "more money, faster! No time check for mistakes!".
Well... its is how it is now... Avoiding use OEI like plague now. After use I "wash my hands" (thus restarting game).

Fixed issue where game could become laggy after interacting with the Orbital Exchange Interface until restarting or returning to main menu
Well, it's not fixed yet. Let's look for next weeks update. We'll see then.
