There's actually a way to roll back saves, and restore an older auto-save by the way.
-------->! You need to save the entire directory c:\Users\"name your windows account"\AppData\Local\Icarus\Saved
You can do a 'full rollback' with this.
2) You can try to ‘roll back’ the save via a backup file, which is done every half hour or when you exit to the ‘character selection’ menu; until that moment everything was fine.
Mission names usually consist of a set of letters and numbers. You can determine which save was from your mission by the fact that these *.json files will have to have the latest creation date.
A fairly detailed description (by analogy)

You need the tier 4 obsidian armor. Insane fire and explosion resistance. You literally wade right into lava while wearing this stuff. If you get set on fire and are burning, just take a quick drink from a canteen to put it out.
The tier 2 heavy obsidian armor might work, but the resistances are different on that.
Bring several canteens of water. My biggest problem with that fight was ending up with nearly permanent overheating (hypothermia) that nearly killed me several times on the way out of the zone. Even with ducking into caves and using cooling bandages, I could not get rid of it. Stepping outside the cave instantly restored the debuff and created a damage over time effect. I had to dive into a lake back in the main area, and swim around to finally get rid of it. It got me down to very low health percentages repeatedly.
awesome, the explosion resistance on the tier 4 obsidian armor will make the fight turn out MUCH different hopefully.
Bring extra canteens of water, cooling bandages, and healing stuff. I used more healing items AFTER the boss fight then during it.
