game progress rolled back after the update
tell me what to do or who to contact with such a problem that after the last update on September 29, I logged into the game only the next day on the 30th and discovered that the game process had rolled back to the 27th, in other words, everything that I built, crafted, mined on the 28th was gone

This could not happen on its own. Do you play on dedicated servers or on your computer?

I honestly don't know how this is possible. Are you using Steam cloud? If so, turn it off (permanently).
1) First (including everyone reading this): always regularly save your Icarus to a separate folder on another partition of the drive. (disable Steam clouds, otherwise, when you manually return your saves, there is a chance that Steam cloud will return the original saves.)
-------->! You need to save the entire directory c:\Users\”name your windows account”\AppData\Local\Icarus\Saved
Including to avoid such problems here as well.

2) I don't know if you can edit the files manually. Save the directory above step 1.
Then you go looking
c:\Users\”name your windows account”\AppData\Local \Icarus\Saved\PlayerData\<your steamID>\Prospects\’name of your openworld’.json
There should also be other files like:
'name of your openworld'.json.backup
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_1
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_2
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_3
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_4
Savings with a difference are usually every half hour

You'll have to try
Remove 'name of your openworld'.json
Rename 'name of your openworld'.json.backup to 'name of your openworld'.json
Load in the game and check it out.

If not then
Rename ’name of your openworld’.json.backup_1 to ’name of your openworld’.json
And so in reverse order.

First of all, you will need to look at what dates do you have files for?
'name of your openworld'.json
'name of your openworld'.json.backup
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_1
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_2
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_3
'name of your openworld'.json.backup_4
You will have files for the 28th, and you will need to focus on them.

PS I hope it is approximately clear to you in which direction to take action.

What does this remotely have to do with this months old thread you reopened?

This helped me very much. Lost heaps of crafted items and the buffalo and cart that were transporting the stuff. When I decided to start a Geyser vapour condenser and got mauled by the local wildlife. I wasn't too worried to lose the Buffalo but when it took with it the mining drills, fuel, water, and lots of other ores and resources. I was a little more than deturbed.

Apparently; the carried items are meant to be in a pack that can be collected, but, it has a decay rate.
That would be good if the was even a pack to begin with and no item pack is apparently, also, a bug.?

Not sure either way, but it is nice to not have lost a couple hours work crafting just to take a lose.

The log house burning down didn't cut so deep as this did recently.
Actually, watching the house burn as the team mates tried to put it out was kind of funny, can't lie.

Thanks heaps again and enjoy those points!
