How about optimisation?
Hey Devs... On the really REALLY small chance you're reading this, and on the even smaller chance you give a crap, how about some game optimisation to avoid terrain gaps, graphic glitches, constant (And I mean every couple of seconds) frame drops and stuttering, poor item meshing (wood falling through the floor when gathering as an example), and a bunch of other things I have lost the patience to list?

This would be a welcome patch instead of arsing around with new throwing knifes and spears no-one wanted and adding a myriad of broken missions with missing caves and areas that your character can irretrievably fall through the floor.

When you have a PC with a Ryzen 9 3900X, 64gb 3600mhz RAM, RX 6900 XT 16gb, and the game stored on an M.2 NVMe SSD, you'd think you'd get more than ~60fps with 15-30fps frame drops every few seconds. Make the game playable before adding tons of sh*t that no-one sticks around to use!

you seem luckier then me regarding fps, what driver version are u on with the gpu?
i have about the same specs, except only 32gb ram, i can hit 144fps at 1440p but my frame drops are to literally 0 fps for over a second. and makes the game unplayable.

"Driver Version - 22.20.26-220823a-383491C-AMD-Software-PRO-Edition" according to the software. Its extremely unreliable fps. Sometimes it's 144 to match my 144hz 2k monitor, sometimes its averaging 60 and then sometimes it's all over the place.

In the latest news post the devs talk about optimization plans (https://steamcommunity.com/games/1149460/announcements/detail/3391801358772541908). Expect an optimization patch this weekend.

that isn't the driver for a rx 6900x xt though... that's the driver for their pro series?
their pro series is not the gaming cards, it's server/workstation cards.

also the problem really isn't a gpu bottleneck as described there... my gpu will be sitting at about 40% utilization in the game, the problem is the game isn't even using the resources available to it.
also why the hell do you launch with nvidia DLSS enabled on a system with only an AMD card? and why is the options page still busted? has been since launch, the option DLSS is one of the settings you need to edit a .ini file to turn off.

Why was the game pushed “live” before the obvious optimization has been done? I get that this is the current industry standard to push a game live long before it’s ready and patch and fix it along the way but why couldn’t you guys be different?

Thank you! I've got the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi board in mine. I think I've pretty much got it running like clockwork, it really is nice. Recently swapped from an RTX 2070, so it's nice to have a completely AMD PC. Worth it.

Sure that has been said many times but in the end it remains a pos performance on high-end pc´s
I am running a MSI godlike MB with 64gb ram / I9 10900K / 3090 MSI suprimX
all on watercooling and enough power yet every promise to fix performance issues stays just a promise. Stop talking about it and actually get it fixed!!!!!

I agree. I was playing Icarus on one household computer and then with all these patches I had to switch to another household computer in order to play it. please fix game performance so all computers can run this game, not just specific ones.
