Add more graphic setting option?
I know game isn't hard to run, even my potato laptop can run at 60 fps (with minor dips if things get too heavy) but can we pretty please have more graphic option like disabling light shadows and such? its a PC game and PC gaming is all about having options.

Please do it. I've seen this very same issue with other super giant game and its about time we stop this and give players more option than just resolution.

Its also been suggested multiple times in the past and I hope maybe this time we get some response

There is clearly some demand for it.

(this one works with any number as far as I know, though start with 8 and see where that gets you)
/DrawBlendMax=8
/DrawLights=false
/DrawColorGrading=false
/DrawBloom=false
/UseSwapEffectDiscard=true
/UseLowResAssets=true

If you look at the game road map we are getting game optimization in the next major update in June

Hopefully they tone down the insane lag at Asphodel world. So far that was the only place for me where I started lagging.

It is strange because you can configure some graphical settings in the launch options. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a list of all the options. If the supergiant at least released the list of the available options it would be really nice.

Unfortunately I'm trying to run Hades on a potato (a notebook with intel HD graphics), it would be nice to remove shadows and glow effect to improve the fps. Maybe the game already have those options

Ah thats sad indeed. All super giant games has this issue actually. None of them give option like removing lights or shadows. You could try contacting devs on discord, they're really active there.

Thanks for the suggestion!
"they're really active there." You're right, they already answered me!

It looks like you can disable some things like "\DrawBloom = false".
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Hello! There are currently 6 launch options that I'm aware of that affect graphics quality. You can add any or all of these, with a space between them

(this one works with any number as far as I know, though start with 8 and see where that gets you)
/DrawBlendMax=8
/DrawLights=false

Do we know what tiers of asset (ie texture) quality exist in the game? Is it just Low and High quality, or does it pick different sets based on rendering resolution?

It's weird because while the game looks good I swear it looked a little more crisp in early access over on Epic. I'm running a 1440p display. Nvidia image sharpening doesn't seem to affect this game, either.

I don't know about any other tiers, and haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise (though I can ask the devs if you'd like)

I didn't include this in my initial reply because it wasn't about reducing graphics, but if you want to force high-quality graphics (and the game isn't doing it automatically) it requires two launch options:

/AutoDetectLowResAssets=false /UseLowResAssets=false

Yeah I added that to my shortcut and it didn't make a difference so I must be in good shape! Thanks!

To your shortcut, or to the game's launch option properties? (unless you meant the properties, in which case nevermind)

Technically both :smilekit: I am running it through a non-Steam shortcut (I have the Epic Store version), and I added it to the launch options of that shortcut's properties here in Steam.

Image feel bit sharper when I tried them. I wish these options were available ingame but regardless maybe having list of all graphic command and having separate thread with pin would be nice for extreme potato user, some of these command might even help speed runner community for even smoother performance, especially disabling bloom let me hit 1080p resolution at 60 fps,
