Mute When Minimized Option?

Could you make it so that when I alt-tab out of the game it mutes itself? I play off and on throughout the day so it's easier to alt-tab back and forth rather than restart the whole game every time I want to play. But I hate hearing the ambient background rumbling from the game for no reason.

The game should mute when you tab out, normally. If the audio doesn't stop when you first alt+tab, maybe try one or two more times and that *should* mute it. You could also try toggling fullscreen before tabbing

I alt-tabbed several times, it makes no difference, I can always hear the audio. That's fullscreen non-borderless. I'm running it as a non-Steam shortcut (I have the Epic Store version), could that be part of it?

*edit* launching directly through Epic makes no difference

Have you tried without fullscreen, and does the rest of the seem to stay paused?
