You know nobody forced you to restart a new game (i hope) so i don't really understand why are you ranting... maybe because you like to do so ? I don't know.
"Wahh!!! Someone didn't agree with my rage! Let's insult them!"
WAaahhhh!!!! T^T
tl;dr : W!
I am Laughing_bot.
I hear you bad at video games.
It's a year old thread...
What I expected out of Hell Mode was a significant increase in difficulty, this really wasn't the case. It does make your first clear slightly tougher to achieve, but beyond that it's honestly speaking an annoying hindrance as it cannot be turned off. Yes, the game did warn me about this but if I understood the game the way I do now, I would not choose Hell Mode nor would I recommend it.
Hell Mode basically locks you in minimum of 5 Heat with a single exclusive Heat Perk, Personal Liability which disables your auto defence.
The problem here is. Because of the fixed Heat gauge you cannot do speed runs of any sort(be it competitive or simply a casual run) because these tend to use specific Heat settings. There's no way to disable it so you're left with two options, start a fresh save or download a complete save file. I think most people will opt for the 2nd option. While I do love the game, I'm not really interested in grinding all the unlocks for the second time starting from scratch.
Personally I would like if the game let us freely adjust Heat gauge after 1 or 10 successful escape attempts when under Hell Mode. Personal Liability could still remain fixed as it only has a minor effect on survivability.
I would also like see the devs expand Hell Mode in the future to make it a more appealing choice. Unfortunately I cannot think of any suggestions, so I'm afraid the only feedback I can give is "Please make Hell Mode better" which doesn't help whole a lot.
This is an open thread on forum where anyone can talk no matter what.
Especially if OP question/topic still matters.
Your point?
