To be fair, it never was Zagreus' intention to reach Olympus. That's just the cover story he and Nyx gave the Olympians so they'd help his escapes from the Underworld.
All he's been trying to do is to reach the surface and search for his mother.
Hades 2 - Olympus think Zagreus is too powerful and try to send him back to the Underworld
sounds really good
yeah and i dont think so, how you can withdraw from the title. thx for the wonderful conversation
Or the land dwelling demi god in Hell next :D trying to fight his way back to zeus,
Also noteworthy in their announcement post that they said "What's next?" instead of "What's next for Hades?"
They mentioned in the noclip documentary about the expectancies of the genre and how rogue-likes can go on forever AKA Dead Cells. I think they just don't want to disappoint fans by saying "that's all folks" and go against that.
Given how much work they put into the game - how feasible/reasonable is a DLC for them? Time and money it takes to develop - especially given the standards they have already placed.
If they announced a DLC or big expansion pack, I'm a day one buyer - I think many would be too. But I am confident that Hades is the full package, and that's fine as it is a damn fine package.
I am open to being pleasantly surprised - I wasn't expecting RoR2 to announce further support with paid expansion yet here we are.
Yeah, but you dont even have points to support your argument, whereas i can still name several others why an expansion would be redundant.
what kind of argument ??? its a personal impression; i just would like to see olympus. get a life man and stop starting useless beefs in the web
With all the Olympian gods constantly talking about how great it'll be when you get to Olympus, it feels hugely anticlimactic to never actually get there.
By all means, have Zagreus happy to stay in the Underworld at the conclusion of the story, but most of the in-game narrative feels like a massive bait-and-switch. I would've liked to have seen him actually reach Olympus and be welcomed with open arms by the Pantheon of deities... maybe in a slideshow showing Zagreus spending time with each of the gods. At the end of it, have him voluntarily pulled back to the underworld by the river Styx (with the gods none-the-wiser) so they'd still be rooting for him to escape in subsequent playthroughs.
I don't think it would work because on his own zagreus isnt that powerful and he requires boons from all the gods to escape.
