How many attempts did it take you to escape?

So, I just finished attempt #34 without having successfully escaped so far. I'm curious to find out if that is normal or if I'm just a bad player

(and no, I'm neither salty nor frustrated, I LOVE this game)

Edit: thanks for your reports and suggestions. I managed to beat Hades on run #44, then struggled for a few runs, but now managed to beat him for four runs consecutively.

Hope you guys continue to have fun with the game. I'm sure I will.

I had to turn on God Mode, though. I just wasn't having fun by that point.

My first victory came after 40 runs too.
But then I had an incredible run of 5-6 consecutive victories and finished the main plot by 60th run.
Epilogue still took 30 more runs

around 35 I think. I got hardstuck on the elysium bosses for a bit and then after that it kinda became a cake walk.

54 for real ending after 10 clears (Was experimenting a lot)

16 tries for me. First weapon I finished with was the gun and after that two runs in a row with the shield and the spear

I just beat the game tonight on run 22, i came close a few times with my prefferd wapons fistes and sword. The 22 run acutally should have just been a gahtering run with rail but somehow i made it all the way and man rail specail with extra range and 400% dmg sure does help aoe'ing rats and keeping pops at reach with his cursed spin move
