We're aware of issues with some wireless gamepad configurations though if you plug in a wired controller it should just work automatically. If you're having any controller issues, our Technical Support FAQ has some possible solutions.
OP was asking for the default Xbox buttons to switch to the PS ones (Y button prompts as triangle) =]]
Over wire it works, but this is useless to me.
Also implementing just a button icons swap is always useful, since if people choose to not use native support, DS4 users end up with wrong button prompts.
I understand, thanks for clarifying. The game autodetects your controller style but there currently isn't an option to choose the button prompt styles manually. Thank you for the feedback.
Please add the option to choose button prompt styles. It's a very rare feature, not often seen in games, yet it's a very helpful one. Would love to see it implemented at some point.
define "few".
recent games i'd tried from CD Projekt, ubisoft, square enix, all provide PlayStation UI.
When it comes to major development companies, Kodjima Production's has figured this puzzle out. Not only does Death Stranding provide native DS4 support, it also lets you choose which button prompts you want to see on the screen.
Hell, even Ubisoft has figured it out! Ubisoft! Think about that! Most of its titles know what DS4 buttons look like. Personally I know of Assassin's Creed Origins, and all of it's successors .
You may need to, yes. If that doesn't work, I have some potential fixes outlined here.
