Most Op Builds
So far I got
Shield + ares on special
Exagryph with daedalus giving 3 specials is pretty sick too
Sword + artemis/daedalus for crits
Spear + poseidon + daedalus for crits on the way back

Bow seems useless since is pretty slow

I just had Exagryph with a Deadalus hammer for infinite ammo, and then Artemis for a homing arrow every time an attack connects.
Now that was crazy.

Hera Bow with Artemis' Cast, the split passive and earlier dislodging disagrees. This bow configuration wrecks everything! A similar thing can be done with Poseidon Sword.

Support Fire is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bonkers and my legit favourite Boon in the entire game. It and anything that hits rapidly is such a hilarious combo, I just got it with Zeus-aspect shield. Toss it into an enemy and just, like, do my nails.

For me, there's two things that are OP, and those aren't tied to a specific weapon. Namely, Athena's and Hermes' boons for the dash, giving respectively dash deflect and more dashes. Beyond that, there's a lot of ways to make every weapon work.

Regarding the bow, I've had success with various builds :
-Daedalus boon for faster attack charge, allowing for a much easier perfect shot, which deals quite a substantial amount of damage.
-Daedalus boon for an explosive attack, which deals good damage too.
-Dionysus on special. The special can "shotgun", in the sense that if you fire at point blank, all (or almost all) of the arrows can hit the same target. This allows to inflict easily all 5 poison stacks in one attack.
-Ares on special. A rather dull playstyle, but extremely safe. Simply dash far away from anything that moves, and spam special in their general direction.

1) Get Ares on cast.
2) Get Ares/Artemis duo (blade rift seeks foes).
3) ?????????
4) Profit.

Get Dio on any fast attacking or multihit attack (my favorite is the gun with shotgun upgrade)
Get Aphro on dash or cast or the other attack type you didn't pick.
Keep rolling Dio/Aphro until you get the duo bonus.
throw any poms on your poison hit.
you don't need any other abilities, the less, the better your upgrades.
You can pick up any of the other damage reduction boons from those too.
No need for Chaos or Deadalus, you can waste all your money on healing or other stuff.

It's so consistent and effective it's scary.
You won't see cool crit numbers like other builds though.

Dionysus on super rapid fire attack isn't very good. If you are hitting at max poison stacks you would be doing more damage with anything else excepting a Doom proc. This is also why I never take the Dio Call with a poison on anything else. They counter each other.

Chaos Aegis + Dio special. Gets you lots of poison stacks without much over stacking.

Chiron Bow + Zeus special. Zeus triggers per arrow so you can get very good single target spike.

Gun with extra/infinite ammo + Hermes dodge increase. The gun's dodge attack is a three round burst. You can blow through a lot of ammo very quickly with lots of dodges.

Zeus Poseidon Duo + Poseidon dodge + Hermes dodge charges. Your dodges will likely out damage your attacks with this. Pair with Athena on attack and something with a good dodge attack, like Spear, for extra safety.

Sword dodge attack double hit. Yah, not a combo. Still crazy good. Considered an attack so you can do Nemesis crits with it.
For the Eternal Spear, I like the Flurry Jab: Hold Attack to strike rapidly, but you cannot Spin Attack. The other I don't really care as long as I have the Flurry Jab.

Honestly...
Sword Poseidon element is insane. Up until I got that element, I just couldn't win with sword... Now I blow everything away...

1. Make a cast build (i prefer Aphrodite shotgun or Poseidon Cast)
2. Profit

My best run is on heat 3 with Poseidon Sword only took me 20:25.50.

Oh no. You can only quickly stack 8 poison stacks which means certain death for any nonboss mob.
Poison builds are about having a reliable and fast way to stack poison.
Instantly applying 8 stacks with the shotgun is very good. Seeking arrow damage pales in comparison to poison damage but you can pick both anyway.
You main loss in dps comes from invulnerability phases from bosses, so shortening the windup is essential.

I'm in the camp of rapid fire + Dio too, I think the idea is you hit max stacks very rapidly then stop attacking and go cast or special. When the poison stacks start to fall off just zip in and refresh. Overall lets you play it very safe, my first ever escape I had exagryph with Dio on attack, Ares on special, and piercing shot from the hammer and I cleared a ton of rooms completely damage free (was using the Than keepsake) even through Elysium. I know the goal is to be doing that frequently anyways but like I said, that was my first successful escape so it's not like I had the game on lock yet--I was near full health with all DD when I started the Hades fight.

Now granted, Zeus on a rapid hit thing will win a straight DPS contest and the Artemis bonus arrow helps that playstyle even more. The point is Dio lets you be evasive and use your cast and special more. I wasn't aware that Dio on attack stacks interfered with Dio on call stacks (thought they were separate as they have different maximum stack counts) I'll have to test that cause I do think his call is one of my favorite ones too.

As someone mentioned before stacking cast related stuff on the Poseidon sword is a fun one. I usually aim for Artemis's because she also has the damage on dislodge skill. On casting, I slept on the Hermes fast cast skill too long, that plus Zeus cast is really fun to open an encounter with.

Exagryph, Eris aspect:

- Shotgun
- Triple bomb

- Dionysius attack.
- Artemis special.
- Aphrodite dash.
- Zeus call.

Specialx3, attack, dash in, dash out while holding attack button, repeat. Melt everything. Really safe OP build.

The most absurd combo I ever saw was stacking Dio+Zeus. Dio Cast and Zeus lightning synergies can get you lightning strikes in Festive Fog. Then comes the double lightning strikes, the splitting bolt and so on. Really nuts when you get Fully Loaded from Artemis and load up one spot with 6 fogs that have lightning slamming them constantly.

Just got that yesterday! I That raw firepower was indeed amazing. Dio attack is safer but the burst from Zeus and then Dio call gets to absurd DPS territory.

The Hunting Blades combo is also a really, really good one regardless of build (aka, Ares Shot and anything other Artemis) which makes me think about the shenaningans with Poseidon Blade/ Hera Bow. Fills God Gauge extremely fast too.

I do love the cast buffing Duos for Ares + Arty and Dio + Zeus. However the Athena cast only gets chaining with the Zeus Duo. The time I chased it for the prophecy I was unimpressed. Its far from build defining like most of the duos can be.
