coz all your previous games were released there

Hey, we expect Hades will come to other platforms once our Early Access is complete sometime in the second half of next year. We haven't decided on all those platforms yet, so while I can't say for sure yet when it comes to GOG, certainly they're one of the platforms we think about (since like you said, all our previous games are on there). Thank you for the interest here.

There's a Supergiant sales on GOG site, no Hades announced yet.. perhaps (may be wrong) is that a hint?

Have they ever had an early access game on GOG? It'll probably be there once the final version comes out.

thats why I've added "at some point" into topic's name. I know that maintaining beta builds on multiple platforms at once is exhausting

I think it will, because GOG accepts games that are going to be released, or not too far away from release date.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Not a word yet... found out a recent Reddit (googling for "Hades on GOG"), last month someone e-mailed SuperGiant asking for the GOG release
ctrl-c ctrl-v answer here
"Hey _________, Thanks for reaching out, and for your interest in Hades! Hades is currently available on Nintendo Switch, and available on PC and Mac through Steam and the Epic Games Store. We'll be considering opportunities to bring the game to additional platforms down the line. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for your kind words and support!"
Looks like there can be some contract clause to not talk about the game release...

Has nothing to do with greed m8. They are a small team and have to prioritize their time and resources, which includes where they port their games.

So you are saying they are somehow a smaller company with fewer resources now than they were when they released all their previous games on GOG? I don't think so. I think it has to do with DRM. I don't think Epic Games Store is somehow more desirable to consumers than GOG, but they have DRM.

if you're going to necro a dead thread at least have the sensibility to read what you quote

Yes, they are STILL a small company, that's literally why they closed their own merch shop and let someone else handle their merch, because demand has outpaced what they're able to handle.

At the end of the day all you are doing is making assumptions on what you THINK they should be doing based on the money they make, while removing any and all nuance about literally anything else they could have going on that not a single one of us have any idea about. We don't know what they're doing, why they haven't released on GOG, whether they may eventually do it later in the future, we don't have that information but just because we don't doesn't make the studio any less of a small studio for not doing what YOU want them to do.
