Prometheus is much harder after oct 24 patch
The patch notes made it seem like they nerfed him a little but he is definitely more difficult now.

-His large flame wave channels much, MUCH faster, leaving far less time to attack him, and it seems to tick faster as well. I COULD NOT escape it before it ticked at least twice if it hit me. He also used it with a lot more frequency, he must have used it 7 times in my fight. What, is the intended play to run away and let it fill an entire half of the stage rather than direct it in a way that makes it... NOT do that?
-Though his punches do 2 less damage, and his kick... I'm not sure how much less damage it deals because it's still the one attack I can seem to reasonably avoid, but both are coming out faster than before, and I already genuinely believed the punches to be damn near instant before. I guess now I know what "instant" actually looks and feels like.
-Same with the uppercut. I couldn't avoid it to save my life.
-The fire cyclone is INSTANT now. Where once there was a bit of a windup I couldn't even tell he'd stopped to cast it before there was suddenly a vacuum burning me alive.
-Might just have been my luck in my run, but he never once used the large ring of fire on me. It was just a LOT of the large fire wave, which again, it much faster now.

I'm only using one tick of the Frenzy vow, and nothing else, and aside from one time fighting him, I've fought him every time with it on before today's patch, about 20 times. I already thought he was way overtuned but at least he had moments where he was vulnerable so you could burst him down, and he rarely took more than one DD from me even then. But now? I could not identify a moment to attack him, and I felt like I was forced to take several instances of damage in a row before I was allowed to dash. It doesn't matter if the punches do 14 damage instead of 16 when you're forced to take 4 hits from it.

i've only fought him 3 times post patch but i can at least 2nd the cyclone thing - i found it essentially impossible to escape before taking multiple ticks of damage

It reassures me that I am not the only one getting this feeling. I did 5 more overworld runs with diffrent fear and no fear and his fight feels harder. And I still hate this stupid dmg immune eagle.

But atleast Charybdis feels a little better to play against now.

Flame wave for sure is too fast. I needed to be on opposite sides and couldn't get there even while sprinting.

I've just taken up the game again after a longer break and I also have trouble seeing any startup animations on him most of the time. Basically just dodging after hitting him a bit and hope I guess correctly at this point. Even taking my time and try to see what he does doesn't do much at all, it's just too fast. Feels like someone messed up the startup animation speed on accident or something

yep, the fight feels just unfair, to beat him i ended up always using the same OP build that breaks all the fun

I've noticed Prometheus can launch his attack sooner if he's getting damaged. I'm talking attacks that take a good amount of time to launch and have red AoE indicators.

He does that on getting phased too.

I don't think any other boss does that. And in case of phasing it's even the opposite - the attack gets cancelled.
