Ok why do I have to go to unlock the ability to go the surface, unlock the ability to basically breath on the surface and the get to the second phase of the surface to find circe and her artifact only to get the ( spoiler alert ) ability to activate 1 random arcana card.... i mean eventually im going to be able to use all my arcana so why would you make this upgrasde something thats like 30% through the playthrough?

Crystal Figurine activates a random Arcana for the run, not unlocks it.
You will never have enough Grasp to activate all your Arcana at the same time. So that would be 1 free Arcana for the rest of the run. Maybe even more, if you luck out into activating the Judgement Arcana.

You only get 30 grasp, you are not eventually going to be able to use all your arcana.

and it helps the build around the card bottom right "max 3 arcana card activated; activate 3 card after each boss" so you take the reroll package and luck out the activation for the rest 3 boss = 9 card + the trinket = 10 card activated in the end

Alternatively I had the trinket after the first boss it activated the card bottom right that proc immediately; I finished the run with almost all the cards activated; that's great for the prophecy "beat chronos with each card" without heavily nerf yourself to proc it

It looks like Crystal Figurine has a very good chance to hit Judgment arcana upon defeating Hecate. It happened to me like 5 times out of maybe 9-10 attempts. It could also be some incredible luck.

The only thing i dont like is how maxing its rank only increases the rank of the randomly activated arcana card and not the amount of arcana that get randomly activated... i already got all arcana max rank anyway, so the max rank crystal figurine will now probably do the exact same thing for me, as it would do if it were still rank 1. Well not sure since i cant downrank the figurine anymore to check. Has anyone tested how it works, if used with rank 1 when all arcana are already maxed out?

Boons, enchantments and keepsakes that give an extra level of something, STILL WORK.

Which means that, yes, you can have a level 4 Arcana, a level 4 keepsake and so on.

The keepsake ignores your arcana upgrade levels entirely. You get a card at level 1, 2, 3, or 4 based on the level of the keepsake, not your altar upgrade.
(It's still a terrible keepsake btw. Definitely needs to use your levels and activate 1-4 cards instead to be worth considering.)
