Do we have any patch notes or any info about what that download was for or what was added/changed?

I haven't seen anyone mention it anywhere, kinda makes me wonder if I was the only one that had to download something lol.

I'm guessing translations and higher resolution cinematics and UI elements. So just a bunch of technical changes.

I did not see any sort of patch at all, and no one has mentioned it on Reddit, the Supergiant Games Discord, or any other site. It may have been a shader pre-caching download that Steam was doing for you.

I haven't played for a while so I can't confirm whether has been a patch recently or not.

But, what I can tell you is that when there are those "sneaky patches" usually they are bug fixes, small improvements and things like that.
Super Giant themselves said that they don't want to make notes on every patch other than when new content is released and then a couple of patches after that to adjust things.

Hope that clarifies a little bit, although it doesn't properly solve your curiosity 😅

Yeah I guess It was a "You are special, here have a download!" a shame, I had gotten my hopes up lol.

I did check all the other places bar the discord. I made the assumption that it was like a download for later release, but alas.
