32 fear Chronos vs 32 fear Typhon
32 fear Chronos is a cakewalk compared to 0 fear Typhon so instead of trying to perfect the fight at 0 fear against Typhon I'm just going to smash my face against 32 fear until I beat it somehow or the boss is nerfed proper.

Anyone beat Typhon at 32 fear yet? Did you use the enemy speed modifier?
What do?

Someone already beat Typhon at 55 fear.

I can't beat him at 32 tho

For me, 32 fear Typhon is not a big deal. However, wardens and their servants from the vow of shadow (with +40% attack and move speed) are insane. Especially, the sailor mini boss in the Rift of Thessaly:shocked_hero:
Don't forget the Spawns of Typhon on 32 fear, good times. Both the twins and the rhino guy are a barrel of fun. Rhino guy with his evil twin is a great boss battle, I love being stunlocked by two giant enemies who walk through my attacks and can't be CC'ed.

I told myself I wouldn't try 32 fear because I want to continue enjoying the game, so maybe I'll wait for them to tune it.

Only beat him at fear 24, INSANE if you get DUO rhino, otherwise peaceful. I also prefer handy capping myself health and boon wise to some degree vs buffing all the enemies when they're already tuned pretty high.

Chronos is doable with a mediocre build and a crummy Aspect, but Typhon has a soft damage gate with the eggs that is VERY punishing to builds that can't burst at least a couple of em down.

32 Fear Typhon is pretty challenging for me. Or at least the Surface route is. Honestly, it's the mid-bosses that mess me up. Can't find a Fear set-up that doesn't involve adding those awful extra enemies to the mid-boss fights!!

I do use one level of Frenzy. I've been doing it with +20% enemy HP but without +20% enemy damage. Underworld route, I avoid increasing enemy HP as much as possible. And with how beefy Typhon and his eggs are, you think I'd avoid it... But I dunno. There are so many massive chunky sources of damage in the 4th biome that the 20% extra damage really adds up. If I'm not at full health by Typhon, I don't feel safe. I pretty much always go Strength and take a double heart room in the first biome, and aggressively take Chimera Hearts.

I also rely on shops for boons more than doors thanks to Vow of Forsaking. It's much easier to get gold on the surface,I find.

If you want an easy 32 Fear clear, try Aspect of Momus on staff or Aspect of Pan on knives. They're safe and do crazy damage.

At high fear, surface really wants you to just bite the bullet and take one of the armor shred hammers that just cheese armor instantly. Otherwise Typhon eggs and the dragon miniboss on Olympus that has ten trillion armor, almost unavoidable attacks, and a clone will often just end your run. (That miniboss has been ridiculously overtuned for two patches now somehow despite plenty of player feedback about it...)

For Typhon's attacks themselves, either you need to get really good at reacting to the head slam and getting away, or you can stand away from him until he starts another animation (look for growths on his body indicating he's starting one of the projectile attacks) before going in. The projectiles are not exactly easy to dodge, so it's probably better to just get used to doing Frenzy head slams.

Haven't beat him yet but I've been using no DDs and using the Strength arcana card and am getting much better results.
