Hades II

Hades II

do you think the arcana cards that allow you to reroll are good?
just wondering the take on this.

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I never use them 😅

I've learned to go with what the game gives me. Then I can use other arcanas that fit my play style.

In other words: are they good? Yes.
Are they necessary? I don't think so.
Maybe if you need a very specific build to beat the game on 32+ fear levels.

But I've been doing 20 fear consistently without a problem.

Looks like someone skipped hades 1 .

To answer your question : Rerolls are SUPER good .
kind of? i never use them and when i use is bc i got it from circe. i hate when i get that re-roll card that you need another re-roll card for it to work bc by itself it's useless >:c
i do take them for my runs - i usually only ever need them if im looking for soemthign and didn't see them. most the time im good with whatever they give me, or i generally don't care. like if im shooting hera, and i only had heph and aphro as choices im like "w/e". i could try to reroll them but eh..
if i see hera and im hunting for her but don't see what im looking for, i'd spend a reroll for it. it's why i have em. or if i get hermes, but see three common boons i just do not care for, i'd spend a reroll for that too.

so yeah, they're extremely useful if you need them, not so useful if you're at a point where you are desparate for specific things to show up. that's just my opinion.

Very strong, but I feel like I give up too much generalist goodies from other arcana to use them since they're so expensive. It's a give and take: more chances to get things you want vs. a lot of nice-to-haves from other cards.

At least for the Fated List. Same strat I used in the first game to fulfill those prophecies: keep re-rolling rooms and boon choices until I get that one missing Duo/Legendary. The Chaos Trials also help some, as certain Duos are virtually certain to appear there.
Not really.

If you're reeeeally min-maxing, what you should be doing is using the keepsake that gets you a random card when you beat a guardian and hope for the one that gets you 4 more every next guardian you beat. Which will get you all cards at once in a run, rerolls included

To be fair, I said "yes" but with the caveat that "yes, but..." hahahaha

Yes, it's not needed. I think that there are better arcanas to be used instead.

I might have misunderstood your post but.
If you need specific things to show up in a room rerolls are your best friends.

A surface run with 32+ fear and a time limit of 5 minutes per biome done with Judgement.
You get your first boon and it's not what you want . Same for the 2nd 3rd and you get just 2 decent boons.
You get out of ephira (if you don't die first) and you get 5 mediocre arcanas.
By the thessalic biome you are screwed.
A surface run with 32+ fear time limit of 5 minutes done without judgement.
You have your arcanas that you need already and you don't need anything more. You get the boons you want cause you have 10 rerolls.
You beat the crap out of the first biome and by the Thessalic biome you are super powerful.
Judgement is RNG based and it's good only if you take the vow of the void. Otherwise you are just using it for fun.
Edit : Strenght > Death .
And Judgement can mess it up by activating death and removing the amazing buffs of strenght.

endlessblabber

You completely misunderstood what I said, but ok. You choose all the arcanas you want, NOT judgement. But you get the KEEPSAKE that gets ends up getting you judgement, ending up with the best of both worlds.
That's how it's done.
