Hades II

Hades II

Can we save Arachne?
I bought and played the first game, and I'd like to know if planned for us to be able to break Arachne's curse.

She deserves it. Athena has crossed several lines.

For now Mel said, it seems impossible.

Who knows. The story is still in progress.

"SEEMS." But it also seems impossible to kill Chronos and there's an entire incantation to do just that.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I do find it odd in the current state that Arachne comes to the Crossroads once or twice(?) then stops coming and the convos revert back to the norm kinda. I maybe recall her saying something about Athena but not specifically when equipping the Athena's keepsake but would definitely like this to get fleshed out more (surely it will be). Also Aqua, I think Athena will definitely double down and showcase the hypocrisy of the Gods.
Her story line is clearly incomplete as is Dora's and maybe even Echo and Narcissus.

Quite probably! It's in line with the themes so far. But I'm not sure yet where they will be going by the end- whether Mel is going to have to accept the power imbalance, hypocrisy and cruelty or whether she gets to force change.
There's something to be said for either approach.

The lines that occur in the crossroads also have accompanying lines on the surface where this topic is addressed. It is not fully completed (as none of the story threads (lol) are) currently.

It is very hard to say if we get any more major story beats before 1.0. Obviously sgg has stated it will not be complete until full launch, but it may not quite preclude getting a few extra hearts for some characters. Personally that does seem a bit of a stretch and most likely we will get a couple dozen extra lines of dialogue per patch.

Either way it is all conjecture and we will see what we see.
Time cannot be stopped.

We can't undo the past but we can help her gain peace with her spidey form here in the present.

Sorry fam, but that is wrong. There is an incantation that lets you kill Chronos permanently. There's no reason a similar one can't exist for breaking Arachne's curse. We can't use it yet, but it's probably gonna be in the full game.

I get what you're trying to say here, but what you're saying isn't factually correct.

Also let's not forget that on Hades 1, Eurydice and Orpheus made peace with each other.

So SGG are no stranger to give their own twists to the mythology and change the outcome of some stories and there's a big chance Arachne will be brought back to her human form.
Maybe, though I've also gotten hints from Arachne that she's kinda comfortable in her spider form. Truly though, that (silk?) plot thread remains to be seen.
