Hades II

Hidden Aspects for Weapons: Suggestions!
One thing I thought was especially cool about the first Hades game was the hidden weapon aspects. I know not everyone grew up reading all the mythology they could get their hands on (or may have wanted to, but not had the best resources). The Hidden Aspects seemed like the game's way of saying, "Hey, do you like this mythology? Here are some others you might also enjoy!"

I was disappointed that Hades 2 didn't have those... but then reminded myself that this game is still in early access.

So, I have some ideas. I thought it'd be best for Melinoë's weapons all to have hidden aspects associated with female figures.

Staff: Aspect of Isis. Many Egyptian gods are shown with a very long sceptre, sometimes with an animal head at the top. And Isis is a sorceress goddess. Hera would likely be the one to deliver the unlocking phrase.

Sickle: Aspect of Banjhakrini. This is a figure from Nepali folklore: Banjhakrini is one half of a husband-wife duo who are said to train shamans. She wields a golden sickle. Hecate, being Mel's teacher, would deliver this one's unlocking phrase.

Skull: Aspect of Baba Yaga. When Vasilisa passes Baba Yaga's trials, the Iron Hag gives her a skull with blazing eyes, which lights her way home and then destroys her abusive step-family. Either Circe or Medea would have the unlocking phrase.

Axe: Aspect of Itzpapalotl. While this Aztec goddess does not wield an axe, her name translates to "Obsidian Butterfly", and while in insect form, her wings have sharp edges. A butterfly-shaped axe head would look awesome. Not sure who should deliver this unlocking phrase... Ares? Nemesis? Moros?

Black Coat: Aspect of Freya. Freya has a cloak of falcon feathers, which she sometimes lends to other Norse deities. And she is sometimes portrayed as a warrior goddess, so it makes sense that it would have combat capabilities. Prometheus would have the unlocking phrase.

Umbral Flames... for this one, you're spoiled for choice, as there are a lot of fire and light goddesses: Pele, Brigid, and Amaterasu, to name just a few. Hestia would deliver the unlocking phrase for a fire deity, Apollo for a solar one.

Not to be a buzz-kill, but hidden aspects have been data-mined and leaked and you can find relevant info on them with a quick internet search....
I already made some alternate predictions as to who will reveal the Hidden Aspects in another thread, and I did not predict as many Olympian revelations as you did (e.g. I predicted that Moros would reveal the hidden Ygnium aspect). I also guessed Selene instead of Prometheus since she's already in the game and has an aspect of Xinth.

As for the actual aspects themselves, interesting predictions! But ideally you should also predict what each of these aspects do (as well as perhaps the bonus Hammer Enchantments that tend to come with them).

Above all, however, we'll have to see what's true come the next Major Update.

Tell us more here, if you dare...
Ok, curiosity got the best out of me.

You can Google Datamining the Olympic Update: Hidden Aspects and Epilogue Art and you'll find a post on Reddit with some information.

If you don't mind spoilers, it's worth a look.

(but let's say that the guesses given by the OP weren't too absurdly far off. There were good educated guesses)

I had not seen that, so thanks for pointing it out! I figured they'd include the Norse and Egyptian pantheons, as those are some of the most well-known. I am a little surprised that they're returning to the Hindu and Babylonian pantheons, though -- I thought they might want to stretch out a bit more. I see that rather than going with exclusively feminine figures, they're leaning into making them all deities of death and/or the underworld.

Unfortunately they didn't go for the best aspect I've found on another Reddit thread:

The Sickles would have the "Karl Marx Aspect" where the sickles would become hammers.
And to that idea, another poster added "and they will share the damage among all the enemies" 😂

That would be incredibly funny for numerous reasons. Another thing anti-woke people hate are Marxists cause someone told them to think that, lol.
I think you mean hammer and sickle, not two hammers.

Amusing as that would be, I feel like steering away from actual historical figures is the right choice.

I can definitely believe that, though I see the Reddit post didn't mention anything about who reveals which aspect, or what they do. Both of those seem to remain speculative at this point.

...or that you always get the same amount of Gold for each foe you slay. Would be funny af!

This is very true

And considering how the hidden aspects completely changed the way some weapons played, I wouldn't dare to guess.

Using the Excalibur was SO much fun! It was tough, but I enjoyed it very much.
(on the opposite side, I hated the spear's hidden aspect. It was very tough to beat the game with it)

When I first wielded Zorephet, I was instantly reminded of when I had wielded Exaclibur as Zagreus: slow, but heavy-hitting (and surprisingly fast!).

As for Guan Yu, it was actually fun to use since you could get around the "Lasting Consequences" Pact by using this weapon to heal like crazy! Someone even did a viable Heat 60+ run with it.

As someone who adored the Guan Yu hidden aspect, I can't deny that the forced reduction in total health and the need for a spin up before it's attack launched made it a high risk high reward weapon that pushed you to forcibly get Demeter, Aphrodite, Dionysus and of course Athena when you used it.
