Unable to gift Hermes.

Not sure if anyone else has encountered this, but it won't let me gift Hermes at any point in time. Not even in Act 4 Olympus, I'm simply never given the option.

Does your Codex say you still have gifts to give him? (If it shows a padlock for the next space, you can't until more of the game is available)

I've reported this, and I think a few other people, too. New files since the patch (or anyone before ~day 6) can't gift Hermes, will be missing out on a few boons from different gods, and can't get at least the Trial of Haste. You can still get through most of the game. I had a new file up to ~day 30 and had beat Typhon multiple times. Pretty sure it's all from taking away the scripted Poseidon event where he gives you the old boons, which is required for certain unlocks.

I could gift him last i played but I dont know what triggered it. I know that the first few times I only see him in shops, then I started seeing him normally, and thats when I can gift him.

Same — I was recently able to receive his boon outside of a shop or Shrine of Hermes and gift him again. I wonder if a few things are related to certain story lines/events, such as Poseidon talking about "older blessings".

...I think Supergiant may have accidentally borked a few things with the RNG and such with the last update, this being one of them (another one being the Lotus Flower spawn RNG).

Unless they hotfixed it, it's likely you already had him open. It hasn't affected people who were using older savefiles who already opened him up normally. I had a run of about 30 days that started after the patch and he never showed up, along with the boons. My older file works fine with him showing up. Two other new runs to test it out didn't ever open up those boons, even though they didn't go quite as far as 30 days. I was testing to see if I could force the Poseidon event, which used to come after Zeus first appeared and the same day you could get the elemental infusions. I've restarted files many, many times in the past (just kind of the way I like to play) so I knew the patterns and unlocks pretty well.
