It worked great for me in a hacking minigame in Shadowrun: Hong Kong which is way harder than what we have in Hades 2.
I've tried that and even tried writing them down too but I mix them up still T.T
Just one short word with the order I have to remember. It's also important to remember the first one, because if you get hit at the very first wave, you get nervous and it's hard to remember the rest.
He has only two stages, actually. One with three waves and another with five.
The first one is easy and you may only need to remember two instead of three. By that I mean that you can already move to the first safe spot and then remember the last two.
The second stage can be trickier because there may be summon around that distract you, put you off position and so on.
I doubt this mechanic will be removed, but it should be nerfed for either only three sequences instead of five, or make the damage way less (like 50 instead of 150).
I also try to keep the first one flexible so I might change it depending on the second. So if the first attack is EITHER top or bot, I wait for the second so I can double first and second, for example.
1st: EITHER top or bot
2nd: bot
Then, in my mind I automatically make them: BOT, BOT
i say invulnerability because i distinctly remember using wolf howl to avoid one or two of them when i panicked. reminds me of the game: simon says almost honestly.
So I might stay at the bottom for the first attack, then memorize 'stay, up', or be at middle, then go 'down, up'.
If I forget (sometimes happens with the 2nd part which is 5 instead of 3 attacks, so have to memorize 4 steps instead of 2), I just try to I-frame dash through the fire. Works sometimes.
Ah, this makes so much sense I can't believe I haven't been doing it. Thank you!
It really is Simon says. I didn't realize anyone had issues with this past the first time they saw it. (I didn't realize it was Simon says)
