upgrade Familiars

how do i upgrade i have witches Delight & 3 Familiars however i do not get prompted to give them treats ? so what do i need to do to upgrade or have the ability to give them treats ?

You need to complete the incantation "Bravery of Familiar Spirits". For me, this incantation was available immediately after completing one run on the current patch. I've heard other people had to brew more Witches' Delights a couple times first.

i haven't unlock "Attending a faithful beast" yet, however i did unlock Faith of familiar spirits, i do not see that "Bravery of Familiar Spirits" ? i am super confused. but i have a few "witches delights" & "Beast Morsels" in my possession. can you advise ? should i brew more "witches delights" ?

Wait, what's the third familiar? I have only the frog and the cat, and use the cat 90+% of the time

The Dog Hecuba the Hound & Raki the Raven are the 2 new familiars & are found below ...... but i cant upgrade any1 :(

Give the Beast-Loved Morsel to the hound; from unlocking the incantation Bravery of Familiar Spirits. The raven is in a safe room in Erebus; from unlocking the incantation Woodsy Lifespring. He is flying around the doors to the next area.

That's slightly confusing. The incantation is called Beast-Loved Morsel, but the item it gives you, that can be used to strengthen animal bond, is called Witch's Delight. Also, at the moment I have 4 of the item, but I did not have the option to feed it to the hound, or otherwise add the hound to my pets. I don't suppose I need more than 4 morsels/delights?

Even if you have only 1 delight there should be an option to "give treats". Isn't the hound in the room where Schelemeus is? He should be at the bottom near the pick axe.

Nope, the hound is in the room right after defeating Cerberus, and my only option there was to "Pet?" it, which just has flavor text

edit: I could Bond with the raven though, I guess there was an order to these things

Okay. So the hound hasn't been bond yet. But I think the hound is in Echo's room. idk if it was changed.
Good to know you can bond with the bird. Some are saying you have to bond the bird first to bond the hound but for me, I was able to bond the raven after 3 meetings and the hound in 7 meetings.

You cannot use Witches' Delights to upgrade familiars until you have the incantation Bravery of Familiar Spirits. Until you cast this at the cauldron, you can only use them to recruit new familiars.

No one has properly documented what makes this incantation appear yet, but people mentioned on Reddit that they were able to get it to appear by brewing more Witches' Delights a couple times. Anyone who was already eligible for it when the patch happened just had it appear as soon as they finished any run. (The incantation didn't exist until the Olympic Update, and everyone just had the ability to upgrade from the start.)
