The Hammer Upgrades Need Rolls
Why we still can't roll hammer upgrades while they're more consequential than even god boons? This was one of the shortcomings of the original game that shouldn't have carried over to the sequel.

Change the line "Hammer = -1 to "Hammer = 1" So you are just removing the minus sign. Save it and relaunch the game.

This is the manual way of doing what wilhelm's Vortex mods does.

Agree 100%, some builds are basically useless/severely limited without the right hammers

yeah I'll agree here. You only get two hammers so it's not like boons where you can just wait for the next one...
100% agreed. To all the people arguing on other threads, let us all UNITE just this once PLEASE! Post in this thread so that it grows in size and becomes noticed by the devs (and post it on the discord too; I know I will).
Given how critical the daedalus hammer buffs are for certain weapon aspects, we need rerolls or a ring that causes them to spawn more often.

Personally, I think they're so consequential that being able to practically pick whichever one you want from the rather small selection as is would make runs way too easy with the current balance.

I'm sure this must be what they're thinking. That said, I wish they'd change it anyway. They could make it more limited it some way, like put the reroll on a keepsake or a high-cost arcana card, or have the reroll cost start at 2 or 3, something like that. But being stuck with three bad upgrade choices, or a second one that doesn't jive at all with the first, feelsbadman. I realize that ultimately RNG gonna RNG, that's this game, but a little bit more control sure would be nice.

While that could be the case, I always think about their application to the Fated List. In the original game, it could take longer than ideal to 100% all the Minor Prophecies because it always took forever to get that one last Daedalus Hammer Enchantment for a given weapon. Having a reroll for the Enchantments could well remedy this, even a little.

Other than that, I think the Enchantments will turn out fine after some tuning (and maybe reworking).
