I'm thinking of something similar with her and Nem as well. Parallel to Zag and Meg's original antipathy.
As for Heracles. Well.
Look.
If Mel doesn't want Heracles, I'll take him. Guy is an absolute stud.
I know one instance was courtesy of Hera, not sure of the others.
But I'd be one of his men. So that's fine, right? What Could Go Wrong.
Hecate had something odd to say about Icarus as if she already knew there was history between him and Mel.
Nemesis is in the Megaera role, so she's another possibility. Maybe even Eris, despite her current frost.
Well, Iolaus did get Megara as a gift from Hercules so you got that to look forward too.
But I'm personally hoping for Arachne.
Mel on the other hand is a soldier. She was basically raised and groomed for one purpose and one purpose only: Death to Chronos. You can see it in how she interacts with the other gods and how she keeps her room and talks to Dora about it. A big theme in this game so far is the dynamic between Eris and Melinoe and how she takes everything so seriously and Eris' whole thing is to do what you want but, by Mel's own words, her only desire is to kill Chronos.
That also crops up in the Icarus dialogue that some of the other responses have mentioned and, to me, that conversation made it seem like more of a one-sided crush: Icarus fell for Melinoe, but she was just like, "that's cute, Death to Chronos"
Eris definitely has a thing for Melinoë, what with calling her babe, the nickname "Trouble", and how hard she's trying to get her to see her viewpoint.
Nemesis is definitely an option, the "rival to lover" pipeline is a classic. Mel had a line after a trip to the spring with Nem that she would "gladly help her take off her armor again" , which, you know...
I think Moros is a potential love interest, though I don't think Mel and him have that much chemistry right now, thouhg it might be due to them not having history together unlike the other three.
