Hades II

Hades II

Negative reviews because its not like Hades 1
Most of the negative reviews I have seen are about how the combat is not like Hades 1. I mean did you want the same game with a new skin? I myself am happy that the game plays differently while still maintaining the feel of the original. Thats a tough balancing act for the devs to walk. Keeping a new game fresh while still maintaining what everyone liked about the original and i think so far they have done an amazing job at achieving that. If you want Hades 1 its right there for you to play. Keep it up devs!

Negative reviews where? Why would you care about the minority? Currently it's 95% positive out of 18K review in only 3 days. Those are great numbers.

Hades maintained 98% though. Although this sequel will be good, I have my doubts that it will best its predecessor.

It largely is the same game with a new skin, but the new things they tried so far feel worse than the first one. My issue with the combat almost entirely stems from the over-focus on Ω moves. Holding down a button in the middle of combat has never, ever felt not like complete ♥♥♥♥ to me in action-heavy games. That, and being locked in a lengthy animation that I can't dodge out of.

Half of the 5% negative are trolls who are upset at having to play a non-male character.

The takeaway is to put little faith in Steam reviews, as they're flooded with memes, lazy checkbox templates, and some downright miserable people. High-quality reviews exist, of course, but you usually have to trudge through a lot of muck to get to those.

They're related. Again, when the negative reviews are this low, it become minority and unimportant. So it's a very futile discussion post. What you said can be paraphrased into "why is it 95% positive and not 100% positive?" Answer: Because no game is. Because there are always people who don't like a certain genre, or certain elements in a video game, even if it is a masterpiece. Hope you understood this time.

Im talking about game mechanics and why there is negative reviews about them 1 don't care if its one negative review or one thousand. Its a post supporting the ideas the devs have. Hope you understood this time.

That's a very interesting topic because today I was looking at the negative reviews as well and what caught my attention was that TWO kinds of reviews were more common:

1) Oh, this game is just a reskinned Hades;
2) Oh, this game is NOTHING lake Hades!

I mean... LOL!

If half of the complainers think that this game is just a Hades with a new skin and the other half don't recognize this as an Hades game, that means the devs are on a good path to find something new while not deviating too much from the original.

Also there was a single one that made me laugh: someone complaining that the gods are... TOO WHITE!!
YES! Too many white gods, while in Greece people are at least more tanned etc. etc.

In the end I think a lot of people are giving stupid negative reviews to get the Clown award (much like the troll posts in this forum)
