Hades II

Dash feels sticky, the torches are kind of awful, and a few other points of feedback.
Overall the game is pretty great, but the dash behaves strangely. Sometimes I try and sprint, but Mel goes into a charge attack.

I get animation locked into attacks all the time and it makes the dash feel painfully unresponsive.

I believe this game should be fast paced, not dark-souls.

Also, the touches are just... wildly underwhelming. There's no impact to them whatsoever.

Speaking of impact, I like the big axe in concept, but it seems impossible to actually win with it due to how slow it is combined with the aforementioned animation locking. If it's going to be that slow, it needs to do a LOT more damage. I think the daggers far out DPS it at the moment, and they're less dangerous.

Also, I've seen this mentioned before, but being force to choose only 1 tool feels like artificial gating to progression. The tools should provide some other synergy to my run other than just being a lock-out on all but a particular kind of resource. Every time I see a resource I can't get, it just feels bad.

Speaking of tools, please let me click once for mining to get all 3 ore instead of having to hit it three times. That just feels like a time waster.

I know this post was a lot of gripes, but I really am enjoying myself for the most part. And this is what early access is all about.

agreed on all points tbh, especially with how the dash works

As for the dash - I feel like they are letting you have a lot more choices in play style. The dash works best with quick attacks such as the blades but is feels slower with magic charges. I think with the charge system slowing down the movement at expense of damage, having an abusable dash like in the first game it would become OP and bring back mashing the dash button which was pretty prominent in the first game. I feel like dash is intended to be part of a play-style and work around builds in H2

I agree that the dash feels sticky to use but i think we'll get used to it. it was a little bit too OP in the first game

Agree with the torches, I suppose these would be ok if they actually fired at the cursor, I constatntly miss because of this.
The only good build I had with these so far is using Hephaestuse's explosions
