2) It depends on the map, but overall the game (from the commander mode perspective) wants you to try to do both, and outside of that, you are rewarded more for taking alive. You can score from F to S rank, with S being you took everyone alive and no one died. Some unlocks are tied to scores like these. In commander, your team stresses out when you go kill heavy, and is better off when you are going for more arrests.
3) Only in commander mode for your SWAT team, but nothing complicated. Your team will start with traits locked, as you use them they'll unlock their trait, which can be better armor, better aim, enemies are stunned longer, enemies surrender easier, etc. Outside of that, no.
4) It depends on the lobby, the game is P2P, if you're playing in an active region you should be fine as long as you or the host have decent connections. But if you're connecting to someone from NA from OCE, then yeah.
5) You will not have any assistance, it will be just you two, at least without getting into modding. You can public queue for 3 more players, but otherwise it'd be just you two, and maps are built around 5 players, especially harder levels. There are also things such as more swat commanding a suspect meaning they're more likely to surrender.
6) I do not believe so, not off the top of my head at least. There are some accessibility such as captions, highlighting weapons on the ground, I think colorblindness, but I don't remember motion sickness.
7) It is certainly on the heavier side. It's not going to be like a kind of cartoony gore where you shoot someone and their head scatters like a balloon, but if you get up close, there will be brutal moments. Weapons like shotguns can leave cavities and even take off limbs.
8) This is planned for the future, they were more focused on overhauling the SWAT in its entirety prior to release and did not have time to focus on female SWAT specifically.
2. Securing the area and rescuing hostages is part of most missions, but some have also additional missions, like arresting a specific number of people or a specific named target or finding evidence or rescuing specific hostages.
3. You can unlock a few clothes by finishing missions at a specific score, but weapons-wise it seems like everything is already unlocked from the beginning.
4. I didn't notice any problems so far
5. Can't tell how it is with a larger group, but my brother and I don't have that much problems. Though obviously, being a smaller group, it's not possible to take every single item with you.
6. Motion Blur can be switched off, but other than that i've not seen that many other options.
7. Looks quite realistic to me, so there's some blood and they collapse without exploding. Though hitting someone with a shotgun at close range can shoot off a limb sometimes.
8. Sadly not. The devs plan to eventually add them as far as i know.
