Crashes to desktop after battles

No error message appears. Happens right as the loading screen is almost finished, before it would return to the campaign map.
-First crash I was tabbed out waiting for the load to finish.
-Second crash I kept the window in focus
I finally managed to clear the first battle by switching to fullscreen mode
-Third crash not even fullscreen helps.

I know if it's going to crash if the audio goes silent when the loading is around 90% complete, then after 5-10 seconds, the game simply & unceremoniously closes.

OS: Windows 10
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650
CPU: Intel i5-4690K
16GB RAM

I'm verifying the game files now and I'll check back if any of the other basic troubleshooting steps help, but I've seen that it's possible for it to load back to the map after a battle, just that most of the time it doesn't, so I honestly don't think it's any kind of problem like that.

i am doing the prologue campaign and it crashes during the first battle after routing the first fight with 3 marauder units attacking 2 bows and 1 spear. might be a tech issue involved?

Same problem i was playing as Katarin, about 50 turns in. By accident i clicked to save random frost maiden, but im not sure if that was the reason.

Crash when i want to start a battle

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry for my english but i have a big problem with the game.
I'm doing a campaign with Gracius and everytime i want to start a battle the game crash.

It can be happen just at the end of the loading or when i enter in the battle map i have a black screen during 5 minuts and the game crash, i can listen the music and the sound of units or the counselor speaking.

I have the same problem with my laptop or the home computer.

What can i do ?

On the 160th move of the game for a Ride after passing the move, the game crashed (for the first time in the game) without errors!And the save files of this particular game cannot be downloaded anymore-the game closes without errors during loading. Other companies that have started are loading and loading correctly. Who else has encountered this problem and what to do about it?

Same issue, happens in sieges a lot, also in walled sieges micro stuttering as the AI tries to move around, the optimization of this game is worse than Rome 2 at launch, if they spend less money on shilling streamers and trailers, maybe we can have a day one polished game, its going to take a year to get to where WH2 is.

Unable to play battles?

Anyone else having the problem of the game not being able to actually load battles and just staying at a black screen with a cursor once it loads?

Game crashes, seems to be fairly random unfortunately. When loading between battles normally, but a couple times it has crashed on the campaign map. Seem to be able to be OK for a few hrs, but about twice a day it crashes.

Happening for my friend. I seem to be fine, but he crashes every time the loading bar gets full.

Hmm. Mine started crashing for no reason on turn 74 of my Ogre campaign. I usually play all battles in manual mode and they were fine until now. Now after any battle when campaign map starts loading and progress bar fills to about 20% there is a crash. If I autoresolve I can continue but then crash comes after the next battle. So weird that it started happening after so many successful battles.

Game CTDs on any battle loading

I can not get into the first battle in the prelogue it just CTDs

System Spec's:
AMD Ryzen 3600 AM4 Skt
MSI MPG X570
MSI Gaming X 2070 Super RTX 8Gb DDR6
Corsair 32gb Vengence Pro RGB 3200mhz
1x 250 Kingston M.2 Boot
2 x 1TB Seagate 7200rpm's
Win10 Pro

I have checked my gpu drivers and it says they are up to date and I have no new updates coming in for windows.

I have lowered graphics. I have tried several reg fixs and currently trying verifying files.
