this game get discounts?
was questioning about buying it but $370 for the full game or $80 without dlc seems way to extreme for your average wallet to survive....

On sale semi regularly

Summer sale is coming up soon, so keep an eye out. In addition, can always google around and check other sites like Gamerplanet for possibly even better deals.

Yes xD, it`s quite expensive and there`s discounts. Just have in mind you don`t need to buy all at once to have the full experience in a campaign. The dlcs or the previous titles what they do is unlocking factions for you to be able to play as them. Even without having purchased them, you still find them as NPC factions.
Just grab whatever you are interested to play at first and when you get bored of those leaders or races, then get others. I mean... even with discount, it still probably in the 200+$ and one just have so much time available, trying to complete a single campaign already takes many hours.
Idk, it could be worse, (the classic cope) It could be a Paradox game x_)

The best way to approach it would be to:

Buy standard game 2, its a good game, game play, graphics, campaign and stuff are very good.

If you like that and like what you see, then you can try a dlc or try game 3.

This game, the previous games and all their dlcs go on sale quite regularly, in fact there are a few dates coming up soon where they will definitely be on sale.

If not you should check:
Gamesplanet
InstantGaming
Greenman Gaming
Fanatical
G2A (maybe)

These sites usually provide steam keys on discount at any time

Post above is a good idea, but you should go to isthereanydeal .com and compare all keysellers at once. When steam has sales they almost always have better ones.

It goes on sale semi-regularly.

Man I didnt realize the full game + all dlc is over $300 at this point. Hard to keep track since I ended up keeping up with the games dlc, but dang thats ALOT. Thats not even the end of the upcoming dlc either. This, Warhammer 1, Warhammer 2 and all of their dlc really end up stacking up to nearly $600 0_0

Well, i get what you mean but to be fair the franchise has been going for what... 7 years now?

Using the OP's calculation of 370 dollars that's about 50 dollars a year, many people don't mind buying into these main stream franchises that pump out the same crap every year.... EA Sports stuff, WWE stuff, COD, Battlefield and the list goes on.... they cost even more.

Not saying whether its good or bad, that's down to the purchasing decisions of the individual, but it is relative...

The discounts used to be a lot better 2-3 years ago. You would actually see DLC be 75% off now the highest you will get is 50%. A lot of DLC is not worth buying at only 50% off.

I have all three games and all the DLC save the latest CHORF one. The way I did it was to be patient, and buy on sales. The discounts are worth waiting for and the game is amazing (with mods)

No you didn't.
WH DLCs have never been below 50% on steam.

Agreed.

And I'd like to commend CA for not retroactively hiking DLC prices like e.g. Paradox.
