Excessive skill points

I've noticed there are quite a few hero units who can get more skill points than they can actually use for their skills.

So then the alert of unused skill points just stays on every turn. Is there any way to turn it off for them?

Bottom right of the screen, next to the end turn button, there's a smaller button you can click to pull up a bunch of tickboxes for which notifications you want the game to show.

Alternatively, you can download a "skill dump" mod (there are loads of them, many marginally different from the others in some way) to spend those excess points.

Yeah but that just turns off the notification for everyone. Normally I like the notification, I just don't want it for the guys who had the useless skill points. It's really poor design that they made it so heroes can get more skill points than they can use.

On the hero screen you can set the individual hero to automatically spend points. They won't spend anything because they don't have anything to spend on, but this will remove them from the alert.
