Morathi is a fun faction to play once you get going

Morathi or Malekith are both easy.

I'd say Malekith is the easiest.

Id actually say lokhir might be the easiest these days. Morathi has unique corruption, and malekith.... isnt as easy as he used to be with grombrindal, valkya and alith anar hanging around.

DE's can stomp over early cathay fairly easily though, and lokhir's bonus arcs can be interesting in the cathay waterways.

Im... not fond of rakarth in lustria (he was my favorite back when he was close to the empire) nor of malus's arctic start (I thought his old start was much more unique)

note that Morathi's corruption is almost entirely beneficial to her. It's a significant economic boost, and the only penalty to it being low is... a bit of public order loss? It might not even be a PO penalty, just the lack of a bonus. There's no attrition for untainted with her, just go in and conquer stuff.

The big learning curve for DE is that you should pick the after combat options that give you slaves every single time ("enslave captives" after field battles, and "sack" or "loot and occupy" after settlements. Never straight occupy with DE). And the lord skill that gives extra captives after battle is good too. Slaves are your economy. You want as many of them as you can get.

Malekith is supposed to be the easiest but Rakarth I think competes due to the layout of his part of Lustria. Its a similar situation as Vortex Lokhir.

I thought Lokir was pretty easy. You can pick your enemies in Cathay and wipe them out one at a time and if you want to use the sea lanes to go over to Lustria or Naggarond you can attack folks there without any threat to your main cities (since they would have to traverse the world to get back to you).

Now that I'm a Drow/I'm a Demon has had their debuffs debuffed, and with the huge diplomacy bonus to demons, the one campaign I did for them was pretty easy...the exact opposite of the original campaign.
