For example an user last week posted that the game is on the 20th rank of the best games of all times in the fanbase poll of "Rock paper shotgun".
I know steam reviews are far from perfect, but atleast you actually need to own the game to give a review.
Certainly more seriously than crybabies on steam forums.
No one serious, same as any reviews.
Mostly pointless. 'mostly'
For instance i'll definitely take the overwhelming negative reviews about Overwatch 2 seriously. I know Blizzard is trash.
Well you can order you steam library according to metacritic scores.
Tbf probably as many, for whatever variety of reasons, as get suckered by userbenchmark.
In Mortal Empires corrupt saves managed to grab me quite often. Mostly when you are in 150+ turns. In retrospect i might have to do as much as with hardware as with CA.
That said, a good part of players will probably discover this game in a few years from now. The game is also quite heavy on the rig. More games are of course these days, but with a 1060 still remaining as the main gpu on steam. I find it hard to imagine those players can enjoy a game like this to its fullest or maybe even a good 50% of what it has in offer
