yeah go ahead, my pop-corn is ready if it ever happend.
PS : don't forget pizza too! XD
We're on the alternative culturally appropriate leadership title themed TW train now, lads. After Pharaoh there's so much opportunity. We could have TW: Khan or Sultan or or...
Yeah, maybe make them expansions for a (later Attila DLC era onwards) Medieval 3...
Maybe with different start eras like Medieval 1 or what 3K tried out...
Or even as Sagas titles based on the initial mission statement thereof (cos tbh I was expecting far more from that idea)
Or... anything but the path thus far and what looks like the direction for CA and TW as stands rn.
Oh jeebers I dunno... only enough that Pharaoh will likely be the first of all TW's I completely nope on (even if I did get some past ones 2-3 years late) and will see out WH3 at least until the end (with the current trend of DLC's either bought late or made good with mods)
But yeah, I just got a PS5 and premium pass to expand my gaming options (this being my only remaining hobby thanks to disability) while leaving my PC to upgrade later than usual as far as playing PC exclusives and cutting into my backlog goes. Tbh the whole gaming industry, from HW to devs, is going to hell by degrees rn and that is hitting PC the hardest it seems.
PS: Tbf any /s aside though if CA did a TW: Khan or Sultan (even a more geographically and chronologically limited Sagas title) and did it good, I'd look twice again. Early-late medieval ME and central Asia was both interesting and insane from a historical TW perspective.
That roster is its strenght. Every unit has it's purpose, no fillers and they all stay relevant even in the lategame.
literally an abandonware with only 1 major DLC-improvement which is not even in the main campaign.
The warhammer babies were the last nail to the CA's coffin.
But i blame history-fans also, since after CA experimanted (and failed) with the Empire: total war, the fans has turned their back at the CA, thus forcing them to scramble the ideas and ride the wave of mediocricy.
Now we have degradation of all gameplay aspects.
The pharaon looks like reskin of troy already.
Anything else would problaby gain more interest than what the are currently doing. Nobody seem to be hyped for Pharaoh. People more or less universally want medieval 3 or an empire 2 and but CA are going with something as far as possible away from that. And it is going to be released at the same time as Starfield.... And they are also dealing now dealing with their part of the fandom that hasnt been groomed as hard with their dlc-releases. I smell disaster and CA is going to draw the conclusion that people dont want historical TW's anymore.
I personally wanted pike & shot, maybe even begin in the age of exploration to the 30-years war sometime. Say 1500-1650. Asia & parts of africa needs to be in it. Would had been fine with medieval 3. Bronze age? couldnt give a damn
Heard Pharaoh is going to include immortal generals like WH..... Hope they cut down on leveling but problaby not.
I have no idea if I am the only one on this, problaby not so rant it is, but I am SO tired of spending points to leveling up everything and everything all the time. Lategame WH3 is atrocious on this since you are no longer making any choices, you just spam-skillpoints and I feel like I spend more time doing that than anything else in the empire. You have a battle, you won, now you get to spam skillpoints into loads of characters.... And with mages you simply run out of things to spend skillpoints on in the last 5 levels (depends a bit on mage and faction). Im just mashing points into whatever when taking what I actually wanted but then the characters has like 30 levels to go.
Its not deep, its not complex, it is simply bloat.
