Skaven totally annoying

retreating is a part of the skaven doctrine, so is regrouping.

They are very annoying, agreed. You can use the Natural Selection mod to weaken their factions.

Skaven have the best abilities. Like they get to spawn several infantry units in the middle of the battle, naturally right at your artillery or missile units. They get nukes on their caracters, that get into the middle of your troops and explode them, no damage to skaven though, they got the strongest weapon teams that never sef-destruct, as per lore they often should. Skaven are broken AF.

The only part of that that's true is the part about weapon's teams. Everything else? Naah, especially not when it's against the AI who wastes its summons as soon as they come off cooldown.

Then here is more: jezzail unit is INVISIBLE even when it shoots. And it shoot hard! Invisible, can shoot well, can fight well, what's more to ask for?

When going up against Skaven as a faction that can't jump over mountains and alike.

Come with at least 2 armies. If you can't get to a settlement you move in encamp stance for the ambush protection.
If they have really high ambush chance they might be able to ambush you anyway.

NEVER use March stance. You're just going to get swarmed and die.

Always try to be the attacker and wait for the enemy to use up their skaven spawns. You can see how many they got and they will spawn them as quickly as possible on any viable unit.

Ambush is less of a threat if you have a lot of fast units.


But yes Skaven can be incredible annoying to wipe out when you can't quickly cross over a mountain. So
