Mechanics mechanics mechanics! I’m like a car in need!

Brilliant. 10 out of 10.

Every lord has a different unique mechanic that is tied into the units they are meant to be using.

They all have their own starts and campaigns. They all will feel unique and different. EVERY lord in the game should have this in some way. Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done CA!

So is Elspeth meant be played as a single province??

Wow, they actually, really listened about criticisms of Empire campaign mechanics. The Empire rework genuinely looks fantastic. Franz is getting the tools to be the Empire he should always have had. Gelt is finally getting his own mechanics and a very interesting start location.

And the Imperial Gunnery School... oh boy. Clan Skryre's workshop is one of my favourite campaign mechanics in the game, now we're getting something just like it for the Empire.

I haven't forgotten the SoC debacle, not by a long shot, but ToD is going a long way to earning back my respect for CA. The DLC content looks great, but frankly the reworks look even better. I now have high hopes for Thorgrim and Ungrim, here's to hoping CA rise to those next week.

It seems they're sneaking in a free gold wizard too. All in all looks great.

It is a very good rework. This Dlc will be very successful I am pretty sure 👍

Hot damn this is looking so good! Glad to see my boy Gelt getting his proper focus on the colleges of magic.

Keep up the great work CA, looking forward to what the Dwarfs are getting.

The mechanics might be good, IF they meaningfully interact with how you conduct a campaign and there are meaningful decisions to be made.

The major flaw with way too many faction-specific mechanics has been that they simply enable you to win harder.

Take Ikit's Lab for example as a pretty egregious example of this. All it does is act as a secondary research bar and all it does it make the already most useful Skaven units even stronger. This in addition to everything Skaven get as a baseline with no downsides and no omissions.
If instead, say, Ikit's Faction had no access to regular Skaven research and the bigger buffs from the lab also had negative side effects, it would give his faction a unique playstyle rather than just being Skaven Plus.

As expected this is very bad. Elspeth can't give good mechanics.

I said for maybe 2 years he needs moving and needs his own unique campaign!
I’m beyond happy and hopeful now I’m seeing campaign mechanics at the forefront

Was most excited to read about the Empire changes and they all look great! If this is what we can expect for the dwarfs too, this will be a great dlc.

Oooh... this is gonna be good.

Full speed ahead on the hype train. CA desperately needs a W after the SoC debacle. This is very encouraging.
