Wargrove of Woe has a lot of ranged units and monsters

Do you mean from the Warhammer 3 factions? Cathay and Chaos Dwarfs have good ranged units and good flying monsters.

And you can still play Dwarfs and Coast, its not like they're an unfun slog to play like Nurgle is until the update.

Dark Elves. Excellent range, plenty of monsters.

Well if you want ranged and monsters i feel like you have 3 options for warhammer 3 base races: kislev, Cathey and chaos dwarves

Skaven. CLan Moulder from the Twisted and the twillight dlc has Ranged units, mosters and that sweet upgrade laboratory mechanic.

Chaos Dwarfs

Dark elves for sure. Shades are arguably the best ranged units in the game, with only Sister's of Avelorn to compete with them. And they get a ton of strong monsters as a base, but even have a lord dedicated to getting monsters.

Also maybe not the best beginner faction but tombkings have good range (Ushapti bows/ casket of souls) and good monsters like sphinxes and giant skorpions. HE can fit this a bit, good range and dragons/phoenixes+faction is easy if you chose Tyrion as starting lord.

chaos dwarfs

well that sounds like chaos dwarfs, but if you have the seasons of change dlc tzeentch is a fantastic option, further you could always try kislev which has a high focus on hybrid units and monster calvalry (theyre bears).

Chaos dwarves are pretty complicated, and a basically a hobgoblin army for most of their lifespan.

Regardless of the fact that they DO also have monsters and ranged units, I think they are a bad option if that's your primary goal.

Tomb kings, specifically picking Arkhan the Black for his strong start isn't bad. As Ushabti Greatbows can be built even in settlements and are literally monstrous ranged, and TK has some of the strongest most dramatically powerful monsters in the game.

I would recommend against Khalida, she basically requires a trickstart if you want to avoid needing to cheese out AI in manual battles. The rest I don't know of.

thanks guys, i think im going with tzeentch

Tzeentch is great, if he's a little to wonky I'd switch to the Warrior's of chaos Tzeentch guy Vilitch the Curseling, as he has a lot of intrinsic power and more straightforward mechanics while having access to the same roster.

was about to say to play tzeentch as thats my army in Age Of Sigmar tabletop and they are very powerful with magic, but people beat me to it. i dont know how good they are in warhammer 3 but tabletop AoS Tzeentch is very good so id like to say the same goes for warhammer 3
