With a lot of buffs from tech, forge, etc. Not vanilla.
Dread Saurian has no physical resistance, K'daai have a base 10% which is better than 10 armor.
it also got higher melee defense than the saurian
armor is not everything.
EDIT: but i do agree, 90 do seem to be a bit in the lower end of what i would expect, lucky for us its something CA can change in a balance fix without any real issues.
The non-buffed ones have 125 armor.
Pretty close to Ironbreakers (120 125 from roster reveal for the 3.0) or Black Guards (110) or Phoenix Guard (100). And we need to remember that above 100 armor becomes less interesting due to the formula. (Armor reduction is a random value between 50% and 100% of the armor stat for people who don't know)
For me the 90 armor with 10% physical resistance seems ok... but the HP is a bit low (Dread Saurian are above 14k, K'daai Destroyer are at 10k).
Magic attacks.
Ehm.
and armor is still not everything that determine how though they are.
Ofc against magical attacks its weak.
lucky there are ways to just negate magical attacks with a lammasu.
so unless you fight against a stack of magical ranged units, a single lammasu can cover that weakness.
It's a demon so of course it's weak to magic attacks which by the way means it won't rout.
Demons are weak to magical attacks.
against any non-magical attacks, I think its gonna be a though thing to bring down.
I'd rather have it rout.
Litearlly the singular reason why i don't use things like, bloodthirsters, bloodcrushers, soul grinders etc. They just kill themselves instead of just running. And for me its more important for a unit to be easily replacable/sustainable than doing things for one battle then forever gone unless i spend 10 turns to global recruit.
Unless there is a way to heal them, they just look like fancy units i will probably never recruit. They can be good on paper but unless they are replacable/sustainable i really don't see myself paying for those units.
There's a way. Some of their heroes have a similar ability to the Necrotechs (TK) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sr8oVx7TkwQ)
I do think it need a small increase in armor, but not to the level where it's just silly.
