Thank you, then shouldn't be a problem

Depends on the experience you want really.

If you want 1 FPS, then not much.
If you want 60, that's a different story.

trying to stay on 60 would be great, i wanted to play this game, but had no pc ready yet, last time i've played the warhammer 2 my cpu was dying hard :(
Now i hope with new pc to handle this.

RTX 5090ti 36gb
Icore 11 13987f
10 water collers
64gb
I'm rocking an intel i9 3900k with a RTX4090, air cooled in a big case with plenty of breathing room. 4k on ultra looks and plays great. Loading the campaign map overloaded my old UPS a few times, but the computer itself runs fine.

Haha yeah. The current hardware generation just can't run this game in 4K on high/ultra settings. There is a lot of lag both on the worldmap and in battles.

Especially the battle maps show how poorly optimized the game still is, since the laggy parts cause very notable slowdown even with no units on the screen. I think it's mostly stuff like godrays or some forests in the background, moving the camera in their direction is like hitting the handbrake.

Same PC running Warhammer 2 on ultra in 4K doesn't break a sweat at any point.

It was definitely rough on my old computer, which was 12 years of frankensteining one part while the others faded. But building a fresh rig, I get flawless performance at 60fps at 4k on ultra with the largest unit scale. The hardware is there, but the price is a huge stopping point right now.

Intel i9 3900k on a Z790 Aorus Elite AX mobo
RTX 4090 graphics card
64GB DDR5 RAM
A large case with plenty of breathing room
A big, goofy heatsink with two fans for the cpu and 3 on the case. Game is on a cheap SSD. Have a power supply that can support it and you're golden.
Nothing isoverclocked and it runs great. I just need to leave vsync on or the GPU wants to show me that it can base-jump onto the Golden Gate Bridge and pick a fight with an SUV.

Some people also say that consoles are fine with 20-25fps, probably a subjective experience

Easy if you can afford it.
