CA, how about a road map?
So, this supposed "leak" came out and if its true we will have roughly 2-3 DLCs remaining.

We are not mad, maybe a bit dissapointed.

If its true, which will be confirmed either way in the next DLC, we could use a roadmap for remaining content.

Road maps are only good for pissing people off when any kind of change happens to it.

So no thanks.

If dis leak is true, I see no mention of Hotseat Mode and no mention of a Slaanesh or Khorne dlc, so dats pretty dang disappointin’. :winter2019saddog:

I has zero interest in any of le new Total Wars dat dis leak claims deh are workin’ on doh, unless deh has Hotseat Mode at Launch, which I highly doubt.

Welp, at least I’ll has more money fir snacks I guess. :PugLevi:

To be clear: I do not believe this leak to be true. My reasoning is that CA in its current state would not acquire licensing for both 40k and Star wars at the same time.

40k is a "maybe" considering work with Games Workshop.

Star wars on the other hand is in my opinion less than 10% probable.

The only claims that hold water are TW3 potentially having 3 or so DLCs left (But that's dependent on how well they sell), and TW3's next race pack being Cathay, and Ogres. Peeps already did datamining, and found Golg's model all ready to go. Design was changed a bit, but the helmet is unmistakable.

“We?” Speak for yourself. I loathe roadmaps, because they’re ultimately a nothing burger. People ask for them and then use them to get mad, like Zeek said.
Karsh May 19, 2024 @ 8:36am
also remember they did say thanqoul would appear in tw3 so we still missing him aswell.
did was from ca during wh2

as long as the game is profitable and they are allowed to keep the license we can see more dlc's then 3 . but it depends on sales and rating at that point

The model was found before "leak", so frankly that means squat.

True test will be monkey king. Cathay had DLC last time. If they get a new one so soon it will confirm leak.

Frankly my only interest is in Neferata. VCounts had some polishing done but personally I believe we are far off from what would be required.

If Neferata is 1,5 year away (2,5 considering how well CAs plans are going) I have a personal problem with that.

Also we had people who were fired from CA less than a year ago who clearly broke their NDAs. They did some interviews and nobody leaked Star Wars or 40k.

Also WW1? The famous static trench war?

The longer I look at this leak the dumber it looks...

No, my only concern is Neferata and VCounts rework. Thats all.

Yeah, long roadmaps aren't a good thing 9 times out of 10. Small indie early access games it works well for, it's a decent indication of which core features are coming and when, and indies often actually stick to them since their projects are far smaller in scope.

But I would like a progress update from CA though, the next step on their internal road map should be fairly set in stone, some info on what they are (or aren't) working on would be nice, whether or not there's much to report in the first place.

Last year we got the road map in late June IIRC. Considering they are "re-aligning their vision of what’s yet to come" and rethinking their scope on future DLC — in other words, they are still setting their plans for the near future — I wouldn't expect to see a road map anytime soon. Early July is the most optimistic I can get.

I think you said it yourself. That leak looks like somebody handpicked issues that would be decisive or stir up drama.

40K is already under development and probably has been for the past 2 years or so.
CA have always operated this way. As many large studios do, they start work on projects long before actually announcing them.

This leak is highly inaccurate and mixes a lot of much older "leaks" together with some new information. Probably not even half of it is true, it is mostly wild speculation.

As for a roadmap - CA would be total braindeads to actually commit to something so early. Not after what 2023 meant for them and the $100 million disaster. They have a lot to make up for, both in the eyes of players/buyers, as well as Sega Sammy. They will be cautious in what info they release.

Things that are more than half probable and are likely true:
40K is already under development with CA looking to deliver it asap; (next 1-2 years most likely)
TWWH3 has around 6 DLC left until they're done with it, so at least 1-2 more years of support and updates
The next historical total war that is in an advanced state of development is a 19th century one with full world map and naval warfare; NOT ww1.

it is up to GW. not to ca.
GW decide what they want to see in TW FB.
Total war fb is too not dei-esg driven as aos for gw.
