anyone else find it kinda weird how greenskin renown units work?
like some have limits of 1 only and if they die, they just respawn in a few turns for availability

however others, say feral wyverns for example, you can have up to 20 at a time. which is fine and dandy but its apparently attatched to the waaagh mechanic. least to my knowlage

meaning basically, you have to do waaaghs to be able to recruit these units of renown.

which is fine and all

till you realise you only get like 1-2 per waaagh. and doing bigger waaaghs dont count towards all of the waaagh related units (which units you get are dependent on the throphy size from what i understand)

so basically.

its next to impossible to get a full roster availability for every waaagh unit as 20 turns per refresh is absolutely nuts not counting however long it takes you to gain waaagh power. and by the time your in the late game where most factions that actually have capital cities are top 30, it seems like you lock yourself out of all those regular waaagh units. (god im getting tired of typing waaagh)

point being, correct me if this isnt how it works, please, but is there any easier way to countermind this if this is how it works?

like, a mod or something that just makes it so once you unlock them, you unlock them for good, and just puts them on a refresh timer like the rest of the UOR? just makes it a pain in the ass if your going for a more rp accurate campaign otherwise.

they arnt regiments of renown
and why would you need a full roster of these elite special rare units
what do the 3 words i used mean to you
what rp is it that has you play the superspecialest super special boy with all the superspecial super toys

While they are admittedly in the RoR panel, those are generally considered "Waaagh! units" rather the proper Regiments of Renown.

Proper RoR are always limited to 1 at a time (when its not bugged like it was for some of the newer RoR at release).

Greenskin Waagh units are similar to Lizardmen blessed spawning units or Empire elector count units. Basically while they are special units, that you can get multiple off, they way you get them is restricted (you aren't meant to have a whole army of them, unless you work towards that goal for a whole game or something).

Spiders? Spiderclaw and any forest goblin themed lords ( specifically those given from the wez speshul mod)

Full support based meme team of suicidal squigs? Yes please.

Armored squighoppers? Either skarsnik and/or a nightgoblin warboss that specializes in squids and anything squig related

Feral wyvern? I dunno. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ maybe some orc went and was raised by wyverns, became their king, and now leads them and their followers of wyvern worshipers to battle. More crazy things have happened in the warhammer world.

Hydra?

...

Okay good point. I don't even know why the greenskins get a hydra but I mean whatever. You get the picture

Point is

Let me have fun, damn it.

I have tried working towards it as a goal but less you go about a cycle of beating the crap out of other factions only to give them back their capital so you can do it all over again every twenty five or so turns is kind of a pain in the ass just to get a handful of these units each time

to be fair its been a while since i played orcs

You can but like...

Lava spiders.

Like let's be real here

It's basically which would you rather have

A t-rex

Or a t-rex with laser guns strapped to its sides

There's not much compitition

The ones you can stack, are because you have to do something for it, like hold a territory, I believe.
The actual RoRs are just unlocked with LL levels.

Yes, there's a building chain that lets you recruit base spiders as Greenskins. It's in the province that Thorek Ironbrow starts in. Atleast you could in game 2. I've not been that south with my Greenskin playthrough to check.

I'd have to check what's the name of the town though.

I wish that building was just what greenskins got when building exotic animal pens, considering that they literally cannot use trade resources it's a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that their version of them is 99% useless resource production.
