Killing Wolfrik as Belakor is aweful.
2 games now had simmilar problems...

The more I smash him, the more he confeds.

1st: Chase his army around Norsca as he confeds and I can't catch them

2nd: Kill his army at the first town I land at... Norscan factions suicide onto him and he confeds them for beating there lord.

This is not fun.

Edit: Oh yeah, each faction he confeds... is one I can't resurect/vasssel using the Chaos mechanics of taking citidels and whatnot.

Generally a good idea to immediately hunt him down after conquering your starter island.

Move north towards his coastal town, then you should catch him at Monolith of Bjorkil Bloody-Hand.

While he makes a fine vassal, i think it is better to get that place as Dark Fortress for yourself. Drop a teleporter at the crossroads there.
just make sure the Dark Fortress isn't his last settlement. he does start with another one, you pass it on the way there. just leave it alive until the fortress is taken.

Can't you confederate him by taking his main city?

not just his main, gotta take all of them for WoC to subjugate. Wulfric's faction isn't tied to a Dark Fortress.
once you do that, though, he makes a solid vassal :P

I don't remember ever bothering with him as Belly, you have rifts to go to other targets, like sniping all WOC LLs to confederate

Yeah I did kill him lol

I'm guessing the other AI factions recognise his faction as "weak" due to me smashing his armies. But then there lords suicide onto his towns and he confeds them for beating there lord (Norsca mechanic)

Easy solution I do everytime I play Be'lakor: Instead of shipping over the main army to Norsca I keep sacking Citadel of Lead for a few turns and send the Exhalted Hero towards Norsca along Troll Fjord.
Turn 3 Wulfric will have conquered the Monolith, turn 4 he will move towards Graetling Moot etc.
So you either get him early on his way to Greatling Moot or you wait a few turns and get him near Doomkeep.

The advantages are obvious: Be'lakor doesn't need to recruit units the first few turns cause everything on Albion can be managed with the starting army or less. No army costs during "traveling time" and lastly, the portal near Doomkeep or Monolith of blabla the Bloody-Hand will be used across the whole playthrough as these will be your strongest provinces for a long time. And also there is absolutely no chasing around Norsca.

Totally the correct call I think.

Chances are the Vassals eat his settlement on the coast but rather that than not get to use Chaos Warriors faction mechanics.

As I recall that was my original intention, but his coastal town is the closest landing point.

I was going to siege, break-siege, then go 2nd town but figured I'd just munch it while I was there.

I thought they give you the dark fortresses when you vassalize them (though maybe that's something in a mod I had)
