Definitely a hot take list especially number 1. Strigoi I might say maybe if they make bigger crypt horrors. Say a crypt chungus. To buff but the naming isn't final. Just because he'd be a big lad.
Ancient Treemen too
Melee generics will always be a poor man's duelist legendary lord.
two rune casters is twice the spells without a winds pool you run out of
meanwhile a rune hero is definitely worth it to bring for its armor and weapon buff to the army
its basically a hero with a red skill line that buffs every unit
they also have good econ buffs if you just want them as a defensive army
they are just good at everything, and not even just a little good
Hm. I think I have much more use with a passive trait, that reduces unit-upkeep and/or building costs. And even a bound spell is better. You can all use this as soon as you recruit the mage, and won't need to wait until you get a dragon...
Maybe such mage is good for Imrik (I'm not sure: will Imrik-mages get their dragons sooner than others?) But even for Teclis' mages I prefer other traits.
But I'm at least on par, that Archmages are my most favorite generic lord. I don't play HE much, anymore, however.
Nurgle Daemon Princes especially.
