Cant Summon Krell
Had this problem in the past in Warhammer 2. My first battles I can't summon Krell, anyone know a fix?

Never been an issue in my experience in WH3, just double checked, I can summon Krell in the first battle just fine.

It's common for older Necromancers to have trouble summoning Krell once in awhile, and it's nothing to be ashamed of; you should consult your doctor about it.

Can you post a screenshot of what you see in battle? (With your Lord selected.)

i figured it out, I was family sharing the first game from my other account so I had to purchase Total War Warhammer 1 for this account

Ahh..I see, it was a free download for the first game; so you couldn't use it without owning that game.
I don't think that was the cause of the bug. I've also had a bug where the game would sometimes not let me place Krell, claiming that the terrain was invalid. I'm not sure what caused it. Once you get the upgrade that makes him permanent then just summon him immediately at the start of the battle.

There's a common issue in sieges with sections blocked off by terrain - the starting point (where the banner displays on the loading screen) has to have a path to the point you're trying to summon to.
It's so you can't summon behind walls you haven't made a path through yet.

Specifically:
Couronne / Praag (3 sections, 1 isolated)
Karak Kadrin (4 sections, 2/2-split isolated)
And any campaign-mode reskins (like Kislev's Praag) or repeats of those maps (Couronne and Karak Kadrin are very frequent).

Parravon, Zhufbar, Kislev, and Erengrad maps have contiguous deployment zones (0 isolated sections) and should be fine.

Well, that's all for after Steam Family Share being stricter about how DLCs are shared since its terms were updated a while back.

no there was literally no Icon to summon Krell at all, even when I played Immortal empires campaign or Skirmish vs AI with the spell purchased. Krell was never available
