Total War: Game of Thrones
Everyone talks about Total War 40k or Total War: Star Wars but give me Game of Thrones with Jon Snow as the legendary lord or Daenerys with her dragons. Man, that would be epic. Medieval total war + fantasy

so basically warhammer 3:)
I kinda think that'd end up being the worst of both worlds. It's not historic enough for historic fans and it's not fantasy enough for fantasy fans.

Think about it, how many fantasy elements were there really? A few dragons, a couple of giants, and an army of ice zombies. Everybody else is just a bunch of humans hitting each other with pointy sticks.

Moreover, a large part of GoT's draw was the scheming and maneuvering not on the battlefield. Seems more suited to being a Crusader Kings type game, maybe Solium Infernum.
Game of thrones is boring slide show and never ending vomit of books.
never ending vomit? they've been waiting on their next book for thirteen years
First Age, LoTR would be better.

u know, i think it could work

i think CA could make AI so retardet that it charges all its cavalry headfirst to their deaths while the rest of the army just sits there, shoots their artilery once and then just kinda forgets about it, and once they lose all their dothraki they just pull out a new full stack out of their ass like its nothing....
u know maybe they could split it into multiple games, 8 i reckon would be the ideal number, and each new instalment would be progressivly more ♥♥♥♥, with the final one being complete disaster hated by everybody...

ye, i can totaly see that they could make a game thats pretty acurate with how the show went...

I don't think you even need to create a game itself, a collaboration would be great...
In the grim darkness of the far future there is only Total War: Warhammer 40k

I don't really see it. I mean, I love GoT but it's more of a mod than a full game. You realistically only have like 4 factions that have anything interesting going on magically (White Walkers, Targaryens, Starks and the Cult of the Red God, and maybe Qarth if you go that far) and the rest are just your basic medieval factions.

If/When there is a Medieval 3, this sounds like a great mod or a DLC for that game but until then there are more varied fantasy worlds to go for like the ones of Witcher, Forgotten Realms (maybe Spelljammer, Eberron, Greyhawk or Krynn for other flavors of DnD) and 40k, among others.
I agree with Yannir

The hype for Game of Thrones died with the botched later seasons.

I realy realy loved it in the beginning. Now it's whatever.

Like star wars.

...or the Lord of the Rings stuff expect the original movie trilogy of course.

I really don't see how the screen adaptations ruin the settings themselves? Half the Warhammer literature is abject garbage but those didn't ruin the setting it's in.

Nah, everybody would just play the Targaryens because of unbeatable dragons, and it would pretty much suck to play.

EDIT: and the wildfire too, which was only Targaryen until the events of the War of the Five Kings when the Lannisters gained access to it...again, would suck to play against.
